5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Tea for Me
Love my new teapot, it reminds me of one my grandmother used over a hibachi in Japan when I was a child. It is a little heavy I'm sure for
many people, but I like more than one cup of cha anyway and my wife and
daughter often have a cup w/me, and the price was very good. After my wife (unintentionally) has crippled many clay pots, I look forward to many years...

2.0 out of 5 stars The ups and downs
I either ordered this pot either last year, or the year before. So, at most, we've only had it for 1 1/2 years. It seemed to good to be true. It's wonderful to have a non-breakable teapot with a very nice tea infuser. However, the metal interior started flaking off and began appearing in our tea. This just didn't seem healthy (to drink cast iron bits), so we chucked...

This tea pot is fantastic, I cannon recommend it highly enough! It has heavy, durable construction so it will last for years to come and it looks amazing (paint job and details are great!). It holds enough tea for about 4 servings making it great for groups or just for one, and since its made of cast-iron it keeps the tea warm for a long time. Form and function combined to make one perfect product (delivery was quick to boot!).

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for steeping loose leaf tea in, February 19, 2010
This review is from: Old Dutch 38-Ounce Cast-Iron Nobility Teapot, Moss Green (Kitchen)
I've had this teapot for almost three years now and I still adore it. It's heavy duty, durable, and steeps the loose leaf tea perfectly. Be sure to put hot water into the teapot first to "warm it up" then pour out the hot water you just used before adding the loose tea and the boiling water from the stove. Remember, DON'T ACTUALLY PUT THIS ONE ON THE STOVE. Many people make this mistake and that is not how this teapot is designed.

This just didn't seem healthy (to drink cast iron bits), so we chucked it. I was hoping that this teapot would last and last, but in actuality, it lasted just the same as a porcelian pot. For all those who like the teapot now, hopefully you will not experience the same phenomena as we did - flaked iron in your tea after little more than a year.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovin' this teapot!, November 9, 2008

I love this teapot. I use it every day. It's just what I expected, and a great deal for the price. Can't find anything negative about it. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and makes just the right amount of tea for my friend and I to each have a couple of cups before bed. Couldn't be happier

5.0 out of 5 stars A very elegant tea pot, March 12, 2010

I purchased this teapot as a gift for my wife and she loves it. The teapot is very elegant with a dusty green dragonfly motif on the exterior and a black enamel interior. It comes with a stainless steel tea basket and holds sufficient water to brew 6 to 7 cups. The cast iron make the pot heavy and retains heat. However, the pot is heavy and I do not recommend for anyone with arthritis or a weak grip. Its a well priced alternative to costlier pots from Teavanna.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Deal, Functional Teapot & nice color., March 30, 2008
This review is from: Old Dutch 38-Ounce Cast-Iron Nobility Teapot, Moss Green (Kitchen)
Free shipping with amazon always takes a while. Having said that, this teapot is fantastic. The color is great and symbolic of what people think of when they think 'tea'. The tea stays hot for a while after mixing the hot water and the loose tea. Very good price as well, similar teapots can be anywhere from $100-200 at Teavana etc. Worth the money and it will last forever!

My sister bought me this teapot as a gift and I absolutely love it. It keeps the tea warm for hours. It holds just the right amount of tea. Everyone that comes over to my home always says it is a pretty tea pot and then asks where I got it. I could not be happier with it. Looks beautiful, works wonderful and I will keep it forever.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Teapot, Color Doesn't Quite Match Picture, May 30, 2010

This review is from: Old Dutch 38-Ounce Cast-Iron Nobility Teapot, Moss Green (Kitchen)
My teapot arrived in perfect condition with the handle already attached. The size is very generous, so I don't even need to fill it half full to have several small cups of tea at a time.

My only complaint is that the color doesn't look exactly like the picture. I was a little disappointed because the green in the picture here looks brighter, but when I received the pot the green is actually a little dull.

However, you can't beat the price for the size of the pot. It's actually so generously sized, I may be getting a smaller one for regular use and keep this one for when I'm serving guests.
