These copper canisters are handsome but there are some caveats needing mention. First, the so-called "vacuum-seal" stated in its description is a misnomer. There is no suctioning force to remove the air from the canisters. If the seal was actually rubber, they would have worked more easily. But this seal is a hard plastic cup-like ring that extends down from the lid to mate with the interior brim of the canister, and the lids would not function if you were to remove them like I wanted to.
Next Problem: The lids again-now they're too tight! I have to hold the canister against my chest to pull it off--not convenient. This means the contents of the canister might jerk up and out when it pops open. Quirkiness given, it should still keep the bugs out better than any loose ceramic set. The company is named Old Dutch, but these are made in China... (not the Netherlands.) Additionally, the canisters have no labeling like "Sugar" or "Flour" or a designated place for a label--another inconvenience. Brass labels would have added character. For the 40 dollars, these 4 copper cans will still function and sit pretty no matter where you put them. And, if you want them mostly for that, with just some occasional use, you have found an eligible set.

Not that bad....but not that good either!,

They look really good in my kitchen! However, the lids are not vacuum sealed as it states in the description, I had to use Ziploc bags to make sure that the coffee and tea stays fresh inside. I'll probably just keep them for a while until they start to look ugly, then replace them with better quality ones. If you're considering copper canisters in your kitchen, I suggest just going for the more expensive, better quality "solid copper" ones out there that you can keep for years...

Got em, was expecting lesser quality for some reason, these are beautiful, not a scratch on them, highly polished and the lids have a rubber gasketing to seal them better when closed. Love em!
