This bright, shiny, copper sun mold looks striking on a kitchen wall. Lined with nickel--which won’t react with acidic foods--the mold produces jellies, aspics, cakes, and mousses that are sure to elicit "oohs and ahs". A brass ring is attached for hanging, while a lacquer coating resists tarnishing. Before use in an oven, remove lacquer with a lacquer stripper.
Measuring 9-1/4 inches in diameter, this one-pint sun mold turns out a dessert perfectly-sized for two. Copper molds should be washed by hand in hot, soapy water without abrasive pads or cleansers, then towel-dried. what they don't tell you,

this is supposed to be a cooking mold. but what they don't tell you is that it is coated with some sort of lacquer that must be removed before you can actually use it for food. you have to go out and buy a special lacquer remover to do this. what a pain.
