While some copper salt and pepper shakers are purposefully made to look old-fashioned, this set exudes a clean-lined, contemporary feel. The shakers are made of bright, brushed copper with matte-finish stainless-steel bases and handles, a combination that can complement either copper or stainless-steel cookware. A plastic plug on the underside allows the nickel-lined interior to be filled with salt or pepper. Except for the hole patterning on the slightly domed top, each is identical. The weight of the shakers gives them a quality feel.

Old Dutch International applies a lacquer to the finish that resists tarnishing and maintains the polished look. While copper cookware often comes with a lacquer that needs to be removed before use, the lacquer on the salt and pepper shakers does not require removal. Splatters from cooking can be cleaned off with a soft sponge and detergent; abrasive pads and cleansers will scratch the surface. Each shaker measures 4-1/4 inches tall and 2-3/4 inches in diameter, excluding the handle. --Ann Bieri

These are a great size for next to stovetop and look great! Substantial weight and feel, not flimsy. And I havent had any problem with tarnish yet. Have had these now for almost 6 months and think they're great! If one thing I would change is the hole size of the pepper shaker to make it larger to accomodate other than fine ground pepper, otherwise, these have been perfect! Recommend them and a reasonable price as well!
