5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable and sexy = unbeatable!, February 12, 2011

This is my second pair of Old Gringos, and I've gotta say, they are worth every penny. I don't often find so many wonderful aspects to one pair of shoes: comfortable (and I do a lot of walking), no break in, exactingly crafted, luscious leather, gorgeous embellishment (nice tight embroidery that isn't likely to unravel or "pick"), and sexy without being flashy. Men and women both compliment me in these boots. They fit a bit tighter than my Old Gringo "Petalos" boots, so I am wearing a thinner sock and they are fine. The toes on the Marshas were also much more sprung than my Petalos, which is a-okay with me, but takes a bit of pushing to get my feet into. Once there, though, heaven! Speaking of which, Old Gringo does a nice job of roughing up the boots to give them a lived-in look--nothing that would actually shorten the life of the boot, but make them less "precious" from the start (no nerves about getting them scuffed--they just look better!) I wear these with straight-legged slim jeans (the shaft is narrow enough that "boot cut" isn't necessary) and turtlenecks in winter, and linen tees and ruffled skirts in summer. Oh, one last thing: it's hard to tell in photos, but the pink flowers have rust-colored shading in them, so they are even more versatile color-wise than I expected!
