When I purchased this one I was happy to find that there were more to follow. I am not that old but this music takes you back to the times when music was music. I love these songs and I love listening to them over and over again. I bought this CD because of Double Dutch Bus and Square Bizz, but I like all the tracks now. A great buy and I highly recommend it.

this disc starts off with a blast with Mr.Groove by One Way,then Double Dutch Bus by Frankie Smith i remember when that was hot.but the Jam for me is Your the one for me by D-Train.they were very underrated.this Band could Groove.

Even though I'm Not too much of a old timer, I still enjoy alot of the jams on this cd. It takes me back to when me & all my friends use to kick it! It was one of my favorit cd's then & it still is now. If you ask me the best tracks are: 2. Double Dutch Bus - Frankie Smith,7. Atomic Dog - George Clinton,9. Cutie Pie -One Way and 13. You Dropped The Bomb - Gap Band. I think all of the old school vol. have great jams; I just wished they had all your favorit hits all on one cd! I would recommend this cd to both the young & old.

This is my second CD, i love them, top grade CD music at its best, and you will jam the whole time your Old School in playing

There is no shortage of CD's out there claiming to have the right mix of "essential" old school funk. Of course most of them have the same old jams and are predictable to the point of boredom. Old School Vol 1 is exactly what it claims to be; a selection of classic tunes and choice tracks from back in the day. After wearing out the grooves myself I recommend that this compilation is the one you should purchase if you want to remember just how great funk used to be (I mean Double Dutch Bus, Atomic Dog, Flashlight, etc) or want an intro to a genre that Dropped a Bomb on an entire generation. This one will keep the party happenin' for sure!

This is a timeless classic funk with a mix of different artists For those to young to remember this is what current rap music evolved from. there are so many remakes in most music genres that most people don't know what originals sounded like. this is a great sampling R&B funk hits of the late 70's early 80's.

Every song on this CD is great. It is the perfect party CD. In fact I have had to purchase it three times having it either stolen or left behind at all-night dance parties.

I was really enjoying going back in time with this CD. I was entering and in my teen years with these songs and haven't heard some of the songs since those times. I let my sisters listen to it also and they were really grooving on these songs as well. They wanted my CD, I told them they should buy it.
