Book Description

OLD STORMALONG is a classic, rip-snorting tall tale about the greatest sea captain in American history. Alfred Bulltop Stormalong rivals Paul Bunyon in size and in spectacular achievements. He fights with sea monsters, saves his ship from disaster, and takes part in the greatest ocean race ever held.

This wonderful, traditional folktale will delight young readers ages 6-9. Told with humor and plenty of dialogue by a master storyteller, OLD STORMALONG will live in every kid’s imagination long after it’s over. It makes a terrific and exciting bedtime story for younger children.

LUKE HAYES is an acclaimed children’s book writer from upstate New York. He is the author of the popular Olive the Duck series and many other wonderful tales for young people. He’s a regular visitor to Cape Cod, where Stormalong first made his appearance

More About the Author

Luke Hayes is an acclaimed children's book author from upstate New York. He has written stories, novels and nonfiction for young readers and has adapted many classic tales.

His friends call him a born storyteller. He loves to spin yarns, make up plots and turn dreams into reality.
