A Great Cutlass & 4-4-2 Guide
This book is very informative. It has numerous tables stuffed full of the information that is needed to identify your car's factory equipment. It also has an adequate supply of pictures and diagrams to break up the boredom of all the specifications. This book only covers the model years of 1964 through 1972, so don't buy this book if your car doesn't fit into this...

Disappointed
I was hoping this book would have some actual information about doing a restoration. All it has are lists of some vehicle specifications, and a spotter guide for each year that 442's were made. Everything is in black and white. Overall I was disappointed with the book. I am halfway done with a complete frame off restoration on a 1970 442 and I have not used ANY info from...

I was hoping this book would have some actual information about doing a restoration. All it has are lists of some vehicle specifications, and a spotter guide for each year that 442's were made. This book is not a restoration guide, it's more of a highlights book with pictures. More effort could have been put into this book with more detail.

THis book is replete with errors. Beware! Don't think what's in this book is gospel. If you get it, get it for the factory documentation that is reprinted in there.

This book provides answers to tricky questions. It breaks down option lists, VIN tags, Specifications for 1964-1972 Olds & W-machines. Book contains spotter tips for certain models of Oldsmobile's and has many excellent B&W photos. Also has copies of various build sheets and dealer sales brochures. If you are restoring an Olds or thinking about it, this book is a MUST have! While it's not a 'HOW-TO' book, the data and photos will help you along the way to a perfect restoration. Plus, this book makes for great reading, if your an Oldsmobile fan! This book is worth its weight in gold when it comes to restoring an Oldsmobile, Believe me. Good, but not a how-to book,

This is a great book with lots of historical info, but I was hoping for more of a how-to guide on maintenance and restoration. This book is perfect to determine if a car for sale is factory original. In my case, I've already got the car, I need to know how to keep it going. Maybe I'll get lucky with an out of print shop manual?
