I bought this item about 10 days ago. I like the look of it and the feel in my hand. However, the first time I dropped it, the side of it shattered into glass-like shards. It also comes with holes in it that trap water inside, and mine never drained or dried properly (until it was broken.)

I'm looking for the replacement. I think this is the item I had and loved until I left it in a hotel. It's ugly, but it works the best of anything I've ever tried:

I used to have a rubber version of something similar to this but after the dog decided he liked it and could make better use of it that I could, I started looking for another.

This was the closest I could find. Remember, what I write below works for me...

1) outstanding grip, slides between two fingers and provides an excellent grip on the massager.

2) For some reason, the upper portion is hollow and can collect water in it. There are drain holes but they don't seem to work so well at draining.

3) I shampoo, rinse, apply conditioner, grab the massager and scrub away and finally rinse. Trying to massage with shampoo in the hair (at least my hair) tangles and pulls.

Bottom Line: I like it and would buy another if the dog eats this one.

The bristles were to soft for my thick hair. I barely felt it. When I first got a scalp massager years ago from my doctor, it had harder bristles, so it was more effective. This one is just ok.
