Another truly splendid LED flashlight from Olight!

It is not clear in the product description, but "Infinitum" means that you can set the brightness anywhere from 6 lumens to 235 lumens--amazing! Of course, you get longer battery life with lower light output. At 6 lumens you can easliy read small print or follow a trail on a dark night, and you get 70 hours of useful light. At 235 lumens it definitely outshines my 2 year old $270 Surefire flashlight, at one-fourth the cost and half the weight. The center bright area and the surround light are both significantly brighter than the Surefire.

This is a marvelous instrument.

I received one of these a couple of weeks ago and am very impressed. It cost $60 and gives an honest-to-goodness 235 lumens. Many companies exaggerate their lumen output. These guys don't. The build is rugged, thin enough to easily conceal, lightweight and tough. I am 5'6" and 140 lbs- not huge guy by any means. This is my EDC flashlight.

I've had many LED flashlights before but this one has replaced them all. The rest are now backups in my various backpacks and briefcases. If I had one complaint about it, it would be that the angle of the clip was too sharp and dug into my back. Not a huge problem- I just bent it to something more comfortable. It can be removed completely if one chooses.

By rotating the bezel you can adjust the light output to anywhere between 235 to 7 lumens. Simply rotate back the bezel to go from bright to dim. Rotate again for dim to bright. Lock the bezel when you find a brightness you want and the setting will remain there. The flashlight has memory so your settings will remain when turned off and on. Battery life lasts anywhere from 1.5 to 70 hrs.

You also get a dandy flashlight case which can attach to a belt, etc. if you want to go that route. Oh, and a glow in the dark tailcap.

All in all, A+. Pick one up and fall in love.

...Batteries not included. : )

5.0 out of 5 stars One powerful flashlight for it's size, June 9, 2010

I am a Home Inspector and this is, by far, the best flashlight I have ever owned or seen. I love the digital adjuster for the brightness, and how it remembers the brightness level from your last use. I don't need the the tactical Pulse beam, but it does create some fun time with the kids, they can break dance in the dark with this light. Also has digital SOS on it, will come in handy when I'm archery hunting this fall. I have compared several flashlights and none of them even compare in price or brightness. I've compared it to Surefire, Maglite, Pelican & Streamlite and they don't compare. Pelican 8060 has less Lumans and will cost you more than double, $140. Surefire will cost you more and will give you half the brightness as an Olight. I compared the brightness to my large Maglite that takes three "D" size batteries and the results was amazing. I had to adjust the Olight to the lowest setting to compare to the maglight. For a little flashlight it packs an amazing punch for brightness. It's so bright it hurts your eyes even if it is shinning in your direction. I have had it for a month now and I have not changed out the batteries yet. I use it alot I just don't leave it on for hours at a time. I will be an Olight fan from here on out. I wouldn't hesitate on this light, you won't be disappointed at all.

This light did everything it claimed but better than I had ever imagined. It is very light weight and has a blinding bright light. The instructions on setting the brightness level were a bit confusing but just follow them and it all will be well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great light- Very bright - Good Holster, February 5, 2011

This review is from: Olight I20 Infinitum 235 Lumen Cree XR-E R2 LED Flashlight (Electronics)
I was looking for the following top priorities in a small LED light:

* Very Bright > 200 Lumen

* Strobe

* Momentary Light option

* Holster

* Pocket Clip

* Ability to hold cigar style

* Hand Strap

* Anti-Roll

* Under $100

I looked Fenix and Surefire as well as Quark and I did not find anything that meet all of my requirements like this O-Light did. The Fenix came close in a few areas but not in all the area. The Surefire was too expensive and I felt like I was buying a name.

I have regularly used this light now for about six months and it is still going strong. I have even dropped it a few times with no ill effect to the light.

I use it for my Video Production work when I am getting my crew set-up and for checking out a rig. I also use the light when I do my private security job. I love the strobe as it is a good low impact way to control the situation.

The holster is actually not bad(better than most). It is made out of nylon covered plastic with elastic sides. The top is closed by a Velcro patch. The design of the holster makes removing and reinserting the light quite easy. The holster has a two inch loop for fastening to a belt. A nice touch is the inclusion of a "D" ring on the back of the holster for attaching to gear.

The O-Light and the Leatherman Wave are the two items that I strap on my belt even when I am not working.

We love this little thing! It can light up a whole alley in Tucson AZ (no street lights) and blind an unwanted pest (human, dog, etc.) It is built solid, can also be used as a cubaton.
