Low Profile Backpack,

I'm using this bag while traveling around Kyrgyzstan and it helps me keep a low profile while in town. The bag is suprisingly comfortable and roomy. The canvas does absorb water like a sponge but water proof spray may resolve that. I was looking for a very down to earth, casual backpack and this is exactly what I needed.

This bag is made with a very thin bootleg version of army kakhi material. the thin and weak leather straps on the zippers were constantly falling off and I was lucky to keep finding them on the ground and reattaching them.
The bag is roomy but kept slipping off my shoulder when I slung it over one sleeve. When I put it on my back it fit like a child's book bag and i struggled to get it off all the while worried that i would pop the straps. Oh, and those big pockets on the outside, if you dont zip em up all the way every time, expect to loose some of your property. they are way too wide. Each one opens to 50% of the capacity of the pocket, A 50% chance of your stuff falling out like mine did twice. I am a 5'9'' male I need a rugged bag with long straps and a durable material. This bag, though it looks rugged in the pictures, is more suited for young females. Don't even think about taking this one hiking or along tough terrain. In an urban setting its just clumsy. I kept it for 2 months and then gave it away to a school kid as a gift.

I bought this bag for my daughter when she went on a class trip to New York City. It's durable, has great pockets, and doesn't look dorky. I wouldn't use it as a book bag, but for a light carry on, it's terrific.
