Very attractive, but not for regular use, March 14, 2009

I love the stitching and style of this bag! The picture does not do it justice. Simple, clean, calming...
The material is rough on the skin (as mentioned in other reviews), and the fibers flake off onto your clothing (e.g. sweaters, jackets, delicate fabrics...). They're difficult to get off and are not removed with a lint roller. My clothes weren't harmed, just "decorated".
I used the bag as my primary bag, carrying textbooks, folders, lunch, etc. I also transported it to and from school in the basket of my bike. The bag quickly fell apart with such heavy use. Eventually, one of the straps broke off and I couldn't reconnect it. The white fibers also were stained from being put in my bike basket.
This is a wonderful bag for occassional use, with light objects. It is gorgeous and could probably last a while with a little gentle care.
