This movie is just a nice funny romantic comedy and a great surprise if you love the backstreet boys. I love this movie because it makes you think Enjoy!

First off, I want to clear the air about something. Yes, I am a fan of music and yes, I do sometimes listen to the Backstreet Boys. I saw this movie because a friend of mine recommended it... NOT because I am a rabid BSB fan looking for some reason to shred Leighanne Wallace Littrell's abilities to pieces. Having said that, on with the review...

From a technical aspect, the movie was moderately well done. Given that it was a low budget independent film, understanding must be granted. Yes, the post production clean up left a lot to be desired and there were times in the movie that the sound did not match up properly. No big deal. I am a rabid fan of Kevin Smith movies and there were occasions in several of his movies, even the later ones, that suffered from the same problem. Could the movie have fared better with a studio backing and big money marketing? Of course. However, it did not have the luxury and the result was better than a lot of independent movies.

Onto the acting... there is not a movie out there, not even one in my well loved collection, that has flawless acting. Some reviews would lead you to believe that Leighanne has no acting abilities whatsoever... I definitly would have to disagree. I have a whole new respect for her and was quite intrigued by all of the performances delivered.

Why am I disappointed, then? Well... the movie itself didn't disappoint me, even with it's fairly predictable story line... we all need a good chick movie once in a while and Olive-Juice easily fits the bill. No, what disappoints me is that so much of the marketing done for the movie seems to center around the Backstreet Boys. Given that two members had brief cameos and one song made the soundtrack, I was quite puzzled over the fact that the front of the movie box itself was taken up almost by a full third with bright contrasting colors, stating that AJ McLean and Brian Littrell were in the movie.

It feels to me that someone, somewhere made a desperate attempt to cash in on some of the success earned by the BSB by the marketing done with this movie. In my humble opinion, the plan backfired. The movie should stand on it's own credentials and be sold only by the acting and the story, NOT by personal and intimate affiliations held by anyone involved in the movie. I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth, not at any flaws in the movie itself, but in the fact that someone did not have enough faith in the movie and felt the need to "buy" audiences by largely glamorizing the love between a pop superstar and his wife.

for an independant film, this was great! i loved the movie as soon as i started watching it. DJ Dan is fantastic!

i do think they over publicised brian littrell and aj mclean's appearances in the film, but it was still a great movie. lil' tyke was my favorite. he was so cute!

leighanne is a great actress. she is beautiful and can act. she really got into her role and i really liked that.

it is a really great movie and i recommend it to everyone!

So this movie came out in 01 a year after Leighanne Wallace became Leighanne Littrell, it was a big deal in the world of Backstreet fans, and I had bought the movie years after the BSB mania died down. I only saw Leighanne in a small part in Wild America and was curious to see if she was any good...well she is. This movie is so adorable, it's cute and innocent something for everyone to watch. And what's even more cute is her and Brian's dog Tyke. Okay first let me start off by saying she plays a fiancee that visits Orlando because her mother is sick, a pet store owner sees her and falls for her, she doesn't know it but her fiancee is cheating on her as well (how could you cheat on someone like her is beyond me), but anyways he becomes really good friends with her and falls even more in love with her, she dumps her fiancee and more like he drives away and leaves her behind and she gets with the pet store owner. It's not the "Titanic" or anything great but it's a nice light-hearted movie when you feel like watching something sweet on a bad day or a good day. Brian was in the movie as well as A.J. it didn't show any acting skills but who cares the movie is adorable. If Leighanne didn't have her son, I think she would've done more acting, but at least we have this movie and Megalodon to enjoy her work, I think she would've done well with being in more movies and honing her acting skills but who knows maybe one day she'll pick it up again.

I had vision's been a bit bored when i was gonna watch this, but i was really surprised with how good and sweet Leigh Anne Littrell was. I had heard some bad reviews from other people, but it was a sweet romantic comedy that really touched the heart. Yes, i am a BSB fan, but you really don't have to be to watch this. She's an inspiring actress, and i hope that she'll be in more movie's really soon!!!

sorry, but i was expecting more of a storyline...and i thought ppl said that leighanne littrell could act. also bsb is only there for less than 3 min of the entire movie yet they are plastered all over the video case as if they were starring in it...i dont understand...sorry but i didnt like it...

Okay so im a BSB fan so what! Ive wanted to see this movie way before Brian was meant to be in it, and i finally got too see it yesterday and i must admit, for an idependant film, its really good. ive seen some real bad big movies, so! yeah olive juice was good, and it was funny and sad and all round fantastic! their was some weird and wacky characters, but i spose they make it all make sence towards the end! leighanne is a really good actress, and i wish her all the best for future film projects!

Olive Juice was one of the best independent films i have ever seen Leighanne Littrell was great, and so was everyone else. I recommend this film to everyone. It has a special appearence by Brain Littrell and AJ McLean of BSB and they were great but that shouldn't be the only reason you watch it if your a BSB fan. It has a great story line. I hope Leighanne has a lot more feature rolls in films she totally deserves it. I definately give it 5 stars.

I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT THIS WAS A REALLY CUTE MOVIE, MY DAUGHTER RENTED IT OF COURSE BECAUSE A.J AND BRIAN WERE IN THE MOVIE. I HOWEVER AM NOT A BSB FAN JUST A MOM, MY DAUGHTER AND I LAUGHED AND CRIED IN THIS MOVIE, I THINK THAT ANY BSB FAN OR CHICK FLICK WATCHER WOULD TRULY ENJOY THIS FILM. GOOD LUCK BSB...ALLY'S MOM

P.S. DONT BE SO HARD ON THE ACTORS,IT'S A CUTE FILM...

Many people buy Olive Juice because of Brian and AJ, if thats the only reason why then you are wasting your money. Leighanne Littrell is one of the best actresses out there she is amazing in this move.
The only reason i rented Olive Juice was because i'm a BSB fan, but the movie was amazing. Those of you who call yourself a fan, yet say that Leighanne can't act because she happens to be married to one are wrong. Leighanne was great in this movie.
Olive Juice is so funny, one of the best romantic comidies out there. so if you want to see amazing acting and a funny chick flick than you should check this movie out.
