I bought this (and one of another design) for my grandson for his 3rd birthday. (One is at his house; this one is at "Gramma and Grampa's" house.) His father (my son) had his own, personalized placemat when he was young, and I thought it would be fun for HIS son to have one, as well. This is very colorful and very sturdy, made with a substantial plastic laminate. I love the personalized touch!
