4.0 out of 5 stars Olive Kids Sheet Set
This is an all cotton sheet set of nice quality for kids. The only problem is they sewed the cute top edge of it to the bottom of the sheet instead of the top. The vehicles all face one way so the sheet is on upside down to make the cute border show. Bummer. The comforters (I got one twin and one full/queen) are really nice. The shams are nice and the coordinating...

2.0 out of 5 stars Scratchy sheet set, even toddler complains about roughness
I've made the mistake of buying "100% soft cotton percale" (210 thread count says OK site) sheets, including two sets from Olive Kids. My son loved the patterns, but despite my washing them with fabric softener and dryer softener sheets, he still complains "these sheets are scrtachy and hurt me". Maybe its the printing. They've been washed about 5 times now and I've taken to using a white jersey pillowcase to protect his face. I hope OK upgrades their thread count, but from now on, I'm NEVER buying percale. My son is three and doesn't normally complain about fabric.

1.0 out of 5 stars Low Quality, not worth the money, August 15, 2008
I recently purchased this sheet set and the matching comforter. Both are lousy. The material is cheap and scratchy against the skin. I've paid half the price for different sheets that are much more soft. I would not recommend buying this product. In addition, the colors fade dramatically. I washed them on the delicate cycle while using a very mild detergent, and the colors still faded quite a bit. This is a waste of money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Adorable but too rough, April 5, 2008

This set is really cute.

I was a little confused by the way the hem was sewn, but looking at the picture, I see that it is made that way so when you make up the bed, the pattern faces the right way.

My only beef with these sheets is that they are too rough. I slept on them one night when my son wasn't feeling well and I was not comfortable at all. Granted, my husband and I have very high quality sheets on our bed. I just think, for the price, these sheets should be softer. Maybe they will soften up over time.

My son enjoys these sheets. They are super cute, but they are not the best quality. The elastic on the fitted sheet let go after 4 washings. Hard to keep on the mattress now without elastics....

I bought 2 sets of these sheets for my son about 7 years ago and they were nice and soft and have held up good. They washed and dried nicely, not wrinkled. I decided to buy one extra set since his have become stained after 7 years. The material must have changed. The material is now very rough and scratchy. It comes out of the dryer very wrinkled. I am very disappointed in this new set. I need to buy another new set of sheets for his bed. It will probably not be from Olive Kids if this is the type of material they are not using.

4.0 out of 5 stars Three years and we STILL LOVE them!, June 29, 2011

This review is from: Olive Kids Trains, Planes, & Trucks Twin Sheet Set (Kitchen)
We bought this set 3 years ago when our son (who had just turned 2) needed to move to a big-boy bed). He loves anything that goes, especially trains and firetrucks. We have 3 sets of these for his bunk beds and they are still in like new condition, despite at least 100 washes. There are no tears, stains, hanging threads, or any signs of wear whatsoever. The colors are vibrant, even after 3 years, the designs are cute but will last him until he's 10, if he chooses. No, these are not Egyptian Cotton 700-thread count sheets or pillowcases, but neither are the ones in our room. He has never complained, despite putting them up to his face every night and naptime. The reviews that claim it feels like sandpaper are awfully harsh...maybe they had bad batches, but these don't feel rough or uncomfortable to us or any guests who've slept in the bed. All of us grew up with thread counts like these, before luxury sheets became common, and we never complained. I just feel like Olive Kids doesn't deserve negative reviews for sheets that fit their exact description. I would have loved to pay slightly more for ones that were 300+-thread count, but these work.

The entire collection is fabulous and we are impressed with them all! We have the wall border, appliques (I put those on a white trash can, red tissue box cover, and each fan blade), sheets, pillows, and pillowcases. I bought an airplane shelf from CL, 3 hanging model airplanes, and a light switch cover from that auction site to complete the room. We get compliments on it all the time and--most importantly--our son (now 5) LOVES his room!

2.0 out of 5 stars OK, September 1, 2009

Ordered these after reading the reviews. Nice colors, but the tops of the flat sheet and pillow cases need to be ironed. If not, they look like they've spent a week balled up in a suitcase.

4.0 out of 5 stars little boys love these sheets, November 9, 2008
This entire set is adorable in my grandson's room. The best part is the primary colors match everything he loves...Thomas, Lightning, Superman, Dash, etc. Not the softest sheets, but he likes them a lot.

5.0 out of 5 stars My son loves it, September 12, 2007

This is an excellent high quality bed set for my son. He was so excited to get his new bed and he loves this bedspread! I have washed the sheets and the bedspread multiple times and they are holding up beautifully. One of the things that I really like about this set is the colors are so bright and it really brightens up his room. I also got the wallpaper cutouts and am pasting them on a stool that I bought at Target so he can easily get up on the bed by himself. For his birthday I am getting him one of those road rugs that will go perfectly with the theme. I highly recommend this bed set.
