I would not buy again nor recommend.
This is a costume accessory.
I've used it on ONE camping trip and it fell apart in my hands.
-the fabric holding the buttons on the cover unraveled before I could even finish my first qt of water
-the velcro in the small pouch is like glued or something, either way it fell off after getting wet
-the fabric holding the belt clips in place ripped after the first mile on the trail
-the bottle itself doesn't seal completely and has jagged plastic edges on the mouth pieces

This is by far one of the top 5 worst things I've ever bought on Amazon.

Canteen is decent quality. Cover is NOT military grade. The cover will NOT fit standard canteen cup, which defeats the purpose of this style of canteen. Alice clips are low quality.

this is a standard gi hydration canteen. this 1 comes with a small pocket on the case. great for storing your meds or purification tabs

These things are junk... Ordered two with covers and received the cheap one quart plastic canteens that are molded in halves and if you squeeze them hard enough the seams split. Also, was looking for the single canteen covers as advertised but instead received the 2 quart (bladder) carrying cases for each. Wanted to replace my old 782 gear canteens but these things are something you'd give to your kids to go on a field trip with and probably hear back that they failed.

Good Enough as a standalone, but dont get the combo deal canteen/cover/cup. Canteen and case, work well. Canteen doesnt leak, case has a little furry layer to insulate, and a little pocket for whatever you want to store. However, do not buy the military cup and expect to use this as a system. Canteen fits in the cover. Canteen fits in the cup. Canteen in the cup however, DOES NOT fit into the cover. Really disappointed with amazon for offering the deal.

Love my canteen. Take it all the time on my kayaking, fishing, and hiking trips.

does not make your water taste like plastic. the case is good, but one of the back alice clip slots is starting to come apart less than a cm of sewing. fixed that up in less than a min, and its great. the inner liner of the case is some kind of fur, real or fake it gets the job done. great canteen

after washing them out i filled them with water it tasted fine. the alice clips are as tight as could be. be careful when pulling them back. the cover for the canteen has a pouch for water purification tablets.

First of all i buy Items thru Amazon A lot and am more than satified 90+% of the time. I Purchased this canteen to add an extra way to backpack water and I thought the canteen cup that i purchased with the same order would be a nice addition to my gear. The problem is the canteen and cover is a Very low Qaulity made product in my opinion. The thickness of the plastic seems only about Half that of the original issue canteen However it seems to hold water ok with no leaks.The cover fits the canteen snug,the snaps seem fine but the nylon material is Very thin.Also when i put the canteen into the canteen cup, it fit fine, but when i tried to slide them into the cover both would only slide in about 3/4 of the way in,this Sucks!Also the Alice clips are very thin metal. The only thing that this canteen has in common with original issue is its shape even the od color is off.I can only give this purchase 3 stars.It will be of some use but the quality over all just isnt there..

It is exatly what they say it is. It is just like the canteens I had in the army right down to the clips on the back. I only thing I would say is it should come with a canteen cup.
