This book presents us with a balanced portrait of the man who introduced Britain's only republic and struck fear and loathing into the people of Ireland-something that still evokes strong emotion more than 300 years after his death.

Good short biography but really meant for a younger crowd,

This review is from: Oliver Cromwell: An Illustrated History (Paperback)
This is a very short but well done biography of Oliver Cromwell. It is not academic in nature but if you are looking for a quick summary of his live that is written very simply I would recommend using this book. Litton also goes into the time Cromwell was in Ireland which is hard to find even in most major biographies of the man. Recommended for either people in high school or those looking for just a quick summary.
