I wish I understood the words, because I'm sure Bernard Kabanda must be singing something wonderful. He has a strong, clear, flexible voice and he could certainly settle for merely creating pleasant, decorative music. Instead he sings very expressively, as if he were a good friend telling you his latest news, and letting you know just how he feels about it.

I love everything about his music. I remember when I was young (between the ages of 5 and 6) this kind of music (kadongo kamu) was very popular. I used to listen to it with my grandma and my mum. It is just food for the soul and this guy talks about stories that actually make sense.
