Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

The Olympia OL 2461 cordless phone offers the security of 2.4 GHz DSS technology, plus options for future system expansion. Able to accommodate a total of four cordless handsets, the OL 2461 comes bundled with two to get you started. Each handset offers convenient caller ID capability with 20 name-and-number memory, and a three-line backlit LCD in your choice of English, Spanish or French that displays all call information.

One of the benefits of todays expandable 2.4 GHz systems is that individual handset extensions do not require a phone jack. Just plug the accompanying AC adapters into a standard power outlet and, in the case of the OL 2461 system, the handset units will initialize themselves to the systems base unit within 30 seconds, without the need for a wired connection or complicated programming.

Additional features include three-way conferencing, programmable ring tones, last five number redial, headset and hearing aid compatibility, and more. It also allows the handsets to operate as an intercom, with up to two two-way intercom connections happening simultaneously. The OL2461 comes with everything you'll need to get started, including switchable face-plates for the handsets.

What's in the Box
Base unit, two cordless handsets, additional charging base, four interchangeable faceplates, two NiNH battery pack, one phone line cord, two AC power adapters, user guide, warranty information

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst phone ever seen, April 17, 2005
This review is from: Olympia OL 2461 2.4 GHz DSS Cordless Phone with Dual Handsets and Caller ID (Silver) (Office Product)
This is the most painful phone I ever had. The battery never charges completely. Keeps getting out of service errors. Phone died in first week. Got a replacement and had the same issue. I have seen big rack of the same phones returned by other customers in the local retail store.

1.0 out of 5 stars Annoying problems with these phones, January 27, 2005

This review is from: Olympia OL 2461 2.4 GHz DSS Cordless Phone with Dual Handsets and Caller ID (Silver) (Office Product)
Bought this two-phone package about 18 months ago and they have not worked properly for over a year. The displays on both handsets died slow, painful deaths, one pixel at a time, over the space of several weeks. This renders the caller ID feature useless and you can't see what number your calling as you hit the keypad. The people at the other end of the phone repeatedly complain of random beeps coming from my end - highly annoying! These phones are cheap for a reason.

1.0 out of 5 stars You will regret, January 12, 2006
This review is from: Olympia OL 2461 2.4 GHz DSS Cordless Phone with Dual Handsets and Caller ID (Silver) (Office Product)
I've got this brand of a similar phone that is also a 2.4 cordless phone with similar features for a year.

A month ago, the screen of the phone can't display correctly.
Now, it didn't work any, as the battery seem can't be charged anymore.

If you think a year life of a phone is worth enough to get, no problem and go ahead.

anyway, the least good news for me is I know I will buy a new one but never tough in this brand anymore.
