Olympia 18" Rolling Backpack

My son asked for a rolling backpack this year because he had difficulty carrying his backpack loaded with books last year due to their weight and his small frame. I bought two of these backpacks for my twins. They arrived separately and one box came all banged up, eventhough the backpack was a little dirty it was fine. Going on week two of use, I have no problems with them. Actually, I love them. They are roomy enough to carry several books, lunchbag and a sweatshirt with some room remaining. It is well designed that there is no problem with it tipping over. No issues with the pull up handle either. Have not tried using it as a regular backpack because my kids enjoy rolling it around too much. Would have given it 5 stars but since this is only week two of use, I can't talk to its durability. Excellent buy at a good price. If it holds up, I will definately buy again.

This backpack is big enough for a binder and several textbooks. It's holding up well to day-to-day life with a kid. It's not the most attractive in the world, but it gets the job done.

Update 3/25/11 - We had to replace it before the end of the school year. It didn't have staying power. By the time we threw in the towel, the legs on the bottom were broken, and the bottom seam was ripped out. We limped it along as long as we could. By mid-March, it was obvious that we weren't going to make it until the end of May.

This backpack has changed my life! I have chronic back, hip and leg problems, and walking around that huge campus has really made things worse. So I ordered this rolling backpack, and my life is so much better now. It's good quality, very durable. Not cheap and lite material. The padded handle make it a breeze to carry. Arrived in like 2 days! I'm so pleased with my purchase, and it was so affordable. I highly recommend this product, and would definately use seller again!

Bought this for my 6th grader just before Christmas school break so it has really only been used for 2 1/2 months and the rolling mechanism is broken already. Backpack portion is great but the handle/ wheels fell apart and that is what I bought it for. Product should last longer than that and was hoping it would make it through the rest of the school year.

I had expended some money by now looking for a lasting strong back pack for my now fifth grader son. I read the comments for this Olympia 18" rolling and I thought that I had finally found the right one.
After merely 2 weeks and 3 days of use, the main zipper broke, the bottom's two corners had holes, the strap-clip to use as back pack cracked in 2 pieces....

Sorry, I am very disappointed no as much for the product as per those who selected this Backpack as one of the best.

bought this for my mother who has gone back to school she loves it!It works great and is of good quality

The backpack itself is good. The side pocket however is already tearing. The mesh runs like the old nylon stockings..............

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the backpack is! It's well-made, with good padding and lots of pockets for supplies and drinks. The double wheels are great, too. All in all, a good value for the money.

It was arrived missing screw and it wasn't stand straight. I purchased from Amazon. When I went to the mall and saw same rolling backpack and it was stand fin and no missing screw so I cannot give 1 star, 2 star is most.
One more reason is some how this backpack's handle I pinched my finder skin few times.

I returned(Thanks amazon! it was easy return) and purchased 1 hand rollin backpack from same Olympia.It cost $10 more but it away better. It's more drable and solid some reason (it's same company!). The handle can adjustable 2 position so when my son rolling short and I can roll longer position. Which kids not taking lot of space when rolling bag to get others annoyed.

Well this is for kid's school bag so it's should be strong and drable for everyday. I recommend other 1 hand rolling backpack from same Olympia.

I purchased this bag because the dimensions are listed as 12 x 18 x 20. When the bag arrived the dimensions are 18 x 13 x 7.5. That is a big difference. The quality of the bag, despite its size, is average.
