Product Description
Olympian Labs Tea Tree Oil is the essential oil steam distilled from the leaves and terminal branchlets of the Melaleuca alternifolia tree. This tree is indigenous to Australia and only grows in a relatively small area on the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. For several hundred years, the Aborigines have used the antiseptic properties of Tea Tree Oil. It has been shown to be many more times effective than other antiseptics like phenol, chlorhexidine, hydrogen peroxide and quartarnary ammonium compounds. Essential oils are highly concentrated and should be used with care.

The oil works very very slowly so be prepared to stick with it. Unfortunately, the packaging is flawed. The rubber dropper top will disintergrate because of the ingredients. I had to take the rubber dropper off and stick a piece of foil into it to plug up the opening.You may want to try a different brand.

This is excellent stuff to treat nail fungus. Two years ago, I had to spend several weeks at my sister's home, which is a pig sty, and am pretty sure I picked up a case of some sort of rare nail fungus from her shower. I used this stuff and it worked. Be warned though, it does take time. In retrospect, it would have been cheaper to have hired a cleaning person to do my sister's bathrooms for her although with the pig husband she has, I don't know if it would be worth it. Like another reviewer her though, I found the rubber bulb at the top of this one poor quality and actually had to cut a small rubber stopper eventually. The product itself is good tough. Five stars for the oil - one star for the bulb thingy.
