UPDATE: After 3 days of using this serum (morning and night), I've been receiving a lot of compliments from my boyfriend and people at work. Someone said I looked well-rested (even though I was super tired). I definitely think my pores looks smaller and my skin is smoother and younger-looking. My skin is nowhere near as shiny and oily throughout the day as it used to be. I love this stuff!

Ever since I turned 25, I've been obsessed with finding beauty products with a lot of active ingredients that prevent sagging, wrinkling, and free radical damage. After comparing a ton of DMAE serums/moisturizers, I picked this one based on the reviews on Amazon and Vitacost.com. I recently found out about the benefits of DMAE for skin tightening and firming and decided to try this serum. It has a lot of good actives that are all high up on the ingredients list, meaning there is a higher percentage of these ingredients: DMAE, alpha lipoic acid, vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin D3, and green tea. I also like that this serum doesn't contain any silicones, which is rare these days.

The price is great, considering the contents (I've seen really expensive DMAE creams out there with the good ingredients much lower on the list). I paid less than $15, including shipping, from Amazon. The only "con" is that the packaging is a glass jar when it should ideally come in a pump bottle. That would make more sense because of this serum's watery gel consistency and would be much more hygenic and convenient. I will probably just end up buying an airless pump bottle to transfer the product into to make things easier and to keep bacteria and germs out.

After applying this serum, my skin feels tighter (which is the point) and my lines are less noticeable. My skin looks smooth and poreless. I have yet to decide if I want to apply moisturizer on top of this- some people recommend it but I think that might mess with the skin tightening effects. Plus this is supposed to be a moisturizing serum and does contain hydrating ingredients. I think people might mistake the tightening effect with dryness.

So far, my skin has not been as oily as it usually gets because of this serum, which I love. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to prevent/treat the signs of aging with a serum full of antioxidants and anti-aging ingredients. It has both immediate benefits (smoothing and tightening) and long-term benefits (antioxidants, firming, brightening, softening).

Ingredients: Water, DMAE (2-Dimethylaminoethanol), Thioctic Acid (Alpha Lipoic Acid), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Stabilized Vitamin C), Tocophersolan (Solubilized Vitamin E), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A Palmitate), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice, Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3), Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Carnosine (Amino Acid), Glucosamine Sulfate, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Zea Mays (Corn) Oil, Hydroxyethylcellulose (Stabilizer), Phenoxyethanol (Preservative), Methylparaben (Preservative) and Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer (Emulsifier).

This extremely economical firming serum, is honestly the best DMAE/antioxidant product I have found. It gives me instant firming, and even makes my little fine lines seem smoothed out. It has a high content of the active ingredients, for they are first on the list. Dermatologists have told me that the higher up on the list a products' ingredients, the higher the content of that ingredient. I have tried literally hundreds of products with these ingredients, and this one is the best, hands down. I have been buying it regularly, for several years now, and I am pretty sure it is one of the reasons I still get carded, when purchasing alcohol. I am 44. Give it a try, if you are approaching you middleage years. It is a truly excellent product.

I purchased this product because I wanted a facial serum similar to Perricone's, packed with the same vitamins + supplements, but with a more affordable price. Also, I wanted a fragrance-free product that was kind to animals AND kind to my very sensitive skin. It is absorbed quickly without leaving my skin oily; in fact it is the only product I can use on my nose without resulting in breakouts or oily skin. It seems to make my skin tighter and pores slightly smaller. Unfortunately, it's a bit too drying, so I have to follow it with a moisturizer. Because it is a bit drying, that makes it a great choice to use in combination with an SPF cream. The only negative thing I could say about this serum is that it doesn't last long, so be prepared to keep a backup so you don't run out.

Although Dr. Oz did not specify any brand of DMAE, he did say to look for a product that had DMAE, alpha lipoid and vitamin C. This has all that and more plus it is alcohol free without artificial colors or fragrances. Have already purchased again. Really seems to support collagen growth. Just so you know this is more of a gel than a cream. It goes on wet but dries quickly. I put another moisterizer on after it dries.
