5.0 out of 5 stars A feast for the eyes, November 5, 2008

This review is from: Olympic Quilts: Americas Welcome to the World (Olympic Games Quilt) (Paperback)
Even if I didn't know some of the contributors to this book, I would still regard it as wonderful. I had the privilege of seeing these quilts when they were on display, and the photography does them remarkable justice. Even if you aren't a quilter, seeing these magnificent creations is a treat for anyone who appreciates beauty.

4.0 out of 5 stars More Picture Book Than Quilting Instruction, July 13, 2004

This review is from: Olympic Quilts: Americas Welcome to the World (Olympic Games Quilt) (Paperback)
This book features color pictures of each of the 400 quilts made by The Georgia Quilt Project for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA. Under each picture it is noted to which country's flag-bearer the quilt was given. The only instructions given are for the quilt that is featured on the cover of the book. I like to flip through the pages and use it as inspiration for new design ideas. It is a great tribute to the dedicated quilters who gave so selflessly of their time and creativity for the Olympics.
