The Olympics come every four years. In 1984, The LA Olympics was the one Olympics that beat out all of the others in terms of its spectacular opening ceremonies. These ceremonies and other events were put together by the best in Hollywood. This PrimeTime public television special went behind the scenes days before and leading up to the opening ceremonies to look at the athletes, the security and all of other activities to see how the Olympics came to be. It is a powerful and emotional look at some of the thousands of people who made the event happen. It is likely that such an event will never happen again, or if it does, it certainly wont be as free and easy as the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
