This is a great little recorder at a very good price. The speaker sounds great to be so small. It has Mic and Earphone jacks which some other recorders do not have. I'm very well pleased.

I purchased this model because of the ratings. I was initially looking at Sony. It works as intended. The speaker does sound better than my Sony. In order to connect my headphones with a 3.5 mm plug I had to purchase a 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm adapter which I had trouble finding. It would have been nice if it came with a battery and AC adapter. Worth the money.

I like It because I can listen my recorded things very clear and you didn't use complicate programs. I only concentrate my recorder and don't lose time.

second one I have owned. Will continue to purchase this model as long as Olympus makes it.

The Olympus Pearlcorder S713 micro cassette recorder is a good value for the money. I use it for personal recording. Haven't tried it in meetings so I can't speak to that. It is well-made, has all the basic features, and the controls are easy to use. The sound quality is good once you get used to recording with it. Can easily recommend it to anyone looking for a recorder for a similar purpose.

I've had this cassette player for over a year now. It still works very well, and I've used it often. Good features and sound quality.

I did buy an adapter so that I could listen to it with earbuds. Unfortunately, the cassette player is designed to play through only ONE earbud, the left one. You can buy some old school looking headphones from the manufacturer that will play in both ears. Regular ones won't work. This is the one negative in the design and operation that I've noticed.

I've had voice mail for years, and continued to re-save many messsages from people I love, some of whom are no longer with us. The news that all these messages would evaporate with a new voicemail system was very distressing, and I didn't want a digital recorder which also could eventually lose what was taped. I bought this recorder and the related accessory that allows one to tape phone conversations, and it did the trick perfectly, or as close to it as one can get. Note that I was foolish enough to think there would be a tape included with the unit...but there are none...so make sure you order the tapes at the same time. I found some locally, but it's clear these are not an item frequently stocked in the digital age.

I am really enjoyng the recorder and it has proved to be very effective. The only thing that I would have preferred is to get the earphone which would really compliment the product. Apart from that, the features are working great, the sound is very good, and I am quite pleased with the purchase. Many thanks for making the product so affordable in this hard economic times.

The Olympus 141357 is a great little cassette recorder. I am a newspaper journalist and sound quality and sensitivity is important in doing interviews, both in person and by telephone, with the addition of a telephone mic. I'd rate this product as five star.

..and the price was right. Unlike a previously owned, Sony, the pause button is comfortable. It uses AA instead of the smaller AAA batteries, but you don't feel any added weight. The plastic-like encasing however suggests that if it is dropped or used a lot over time, the surrounding casing will break. Overall a good buy for the price.
