Outstanding Product - Huge Improvement Over Tape
Yes, you need the Olympus DSS Software to get this footpedal to work. Once installed and connected, this three way pedal controls the Play, FastForward and Reverse "VCR Buttons" displayed in the DSS Software display. Combined with the Olympus Digital Audio Recorders, I'm much better able to capture and document User requirements during functional discovery sessions...

Disappointed
I cannot get this product to work. It does not come with documentation or software. I went ot web sites and downloaded the recommended driver but it still does not work. I have to wonder if this is a proprietary product and was not listed as such. It is an expensive error that I regret purchasing.
