Other automatic operations include focus, exposure, load, and rewind--it's even possible to rewind midroll. The protective clamshell barrier design ensures you will never have to be fumbling for your lens cap (or forgetting that it is on). A 12-second self-timer lets you get in the picture. Optional quartz dating can imprint date and time for easy photo reference.
The Accura Zoom 80S QD also offers a variable-mode flash that lets you choose between red-eye reduction, fill-in, or flash-off mode for times when flash photography is not permitted. Its one-year warranty covers both parts and labor.

battery eater,

This review is from: Olympus Accura Zoom 80S QD Date 35mm Camera (Electronics)
i bought this camera on vacation, after realizing i left my medium format on the plane. i always wanted a point & shoot and spent a while trying different ones out. the things i liked about this model were: very silent zoom, red eye reduction, ability to override flash and the compact size. all in all this olympus took decent pictures. however i returned it after 2 weeks of use because i only shot 3 rolls of film, but had to replace the aa batteries 3 times! i'd loose "power" when the most odd, picture-worthy things came along - very frustrating. the manual says 1 set of batteries should last roughly 7 rolls...not so.

the AA batteries go out with one roll on average.. this is such a disadvantage...i also have an Olympus Stylus 70 mm and it takes much better pictures...it is clearear by a longshot... don't invest in this camera ... pay up a little for picutres you'll treasure for a lifetime..

This product is of moderate capabilities. It's a comfortable fit for beginners and intermediates alike. I wouldn't recommend using this camera for other purposed than pictures on vacation.
