...this macro lens delivers,

This review is from: Olympus MCON-35 Macro Extension Lens for E-10 (Electronics)
I was a bit apprehensive about using a screw-on attachment, and was concerned that edge sharpness, light falloff, or general inconvenience would be problems. The lens performs very well in all of these areas of concern. This is a fine optical addition to the E-10's fixed zoom, one that Olympus has put considerable thought into. It operates throughout the wide-tele range. It does require setting the macro mode in the control panel, but this only takes a few seconds, and then you can move in on subjects, such as a bee on a flower, dew on a spider's web, or the details on a coin. It would be nice if this sort of accessory was a little less expensive, but it is well worth the price, as it comes in a well made case, with a cover that serves as a lens cap when the lens is mounted on the camera.

This is a huge lens, and that seems right, because it makes everything huge! This really is a nice lens. The pictures it takes are sharp and really close up. Cool!

This review is from: Olympus MCON-35 Macro Extension Lens for E-10 (Electronics)
I researched achromatic diopters extensively before buying the MCON-35, so I knew it was highly regarded - but the relatively few (mostly Camedia users) who knew it. The diopters, over my Nikon and Pentax lenses, is as good as my Canon 500D. It is 55mm, quite heavy, very well (read Olympus quality) built. Comes with a nice leather case. What can I say, it is an accessory I will likely never part with.
