Stopped-down metering and manual focus only. If that doesn't make sense to you, you probably don't want this adapter. Basically the adapter will let you physically mount an Olympus OM lens on your new micro four thirds system camera. You still have to focus the lens and set the aperture on the lens. This is most worthwhile if you have a good OM macro lens or extreme telephoto. In either case, you're probably taking careful images and have to manually focus anyway. Or maybe you have a large investment in OM lenses.

Anyway, the adapter works quite well, subject to its limitations. Well made and substantial in feel.

5.0 out of 5 stars OM manual adapter for Micro 4/3, April 2, 2010

This manual adapter provides a new life for old OM -system lenses. The results with these are simply stunning. I have used it with primes from 24-200 mm with all equal good results. focusing is easy with my EP-1. If you have such a camera and old OM lenses buy one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Olympus MF-2, December 26, 2011

Works great. Considerably lighter than the earlier MF-1 model. I use it with an E-PL1 body and the Olympus 12-60 zoom. The lens is a bit heavy for that camera but the quality of the lens makes up for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars nice adapter to expand lens opportunities, November 10, 2011

Came very quickly, as always, from Amazon, and did exactly what it was intended to do. Nice of Olympus to produce adapters that expand the ability to use other lenses. In this case the adapter couples Olympus 4/3 E lenses to the "PEN" micro 4/3, and it does this quite well. Was able to add longer lenses (really usable best with the electronic viewfinder) onto both the E-LP and E-P2. ON tripod this produced sharp images. It is very nice to have adapters for this expansion and other adapters are also available.

Simple to use. Just twist on and you can use all your old 35mm lenses again with a digital camera. It's that easy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Results not as sharp?, December 27, 2010
This review is from: Olympus MF-2 OM Lens to Micro Four Thirds Adapter (Electronics)
The adapter fit well and does what it's supposed to do. I used my good 50mm F1.4 olympus zuiko lens with it. Somewhat surprising to me, the images were not as sharp as they are when I use the native panasonic 20mm F1.7 lens that came with the camera. I don't know the reason for this.
