I've used this binoculars for three years for nature (mostly birdwatching) in different conditions (sea, mountains, winter, summer...).
These are not waterproof by specification but mine are still good after dozen of heavy showers. It's sturdy enough if you use it with regular care (avoid falls). They're not fogproof so have that in mind when you take it outside from your backpack/car/house during winter. You will have to wait for 10-15 minutes to use it because of fog. Dioptre adjustment wheel often goes in + or - direction during transport (you can't lock it) but after some time you just start to check that regularly before use. It's light to carry in your hand all day.
And finally, image quality is for this price range probably best! You will not be able to see nice colors in shades, dusk or dawn as you will have to spend much more money for that, but for 95% of your time in nature this item is great.
I would say these binoculras are best buy option for amateur nature lover. Ofcourse, if you have more money, go for something better (nitrogen filled, roof prism, etc.)

Very light; I suspect there are some plastic lenses in there somewhere. Sharp (even for astronomical use which is demanding), relatively bright, very well collimated. If you are over 45 years old, there's no reason to get 50mm since your pupil will not open enough to take advantage of the bigger exit pupil that 50mm binocs provide. You're just carrying around extra weight & paying more. Liked them so much I gave a pair as a gift.

These are very good quality binoculars. For this price they would be hard to beat.
I now have these in 8x40 and a pair in 10x50 of this same type & use them for birding in my back yard & along the coast. I would rate these glasses equal to those costing 10 times the price.

I've owned about 6 pairs of binos from different manufacturers for astronomical and general use. These give the most bang for buck, without a doubt. They throw up a bright, contrasty, sharp image for the central 2/3 of the field of view. Great for daytime use; pretty good for astro. As others have said, they are surprisingly light. If you want better optics, be prepared to spend $500 more. These are great everyday binos.

Light weight, does not look like a toy, rubber eyepieces, good case, clear and stable image, easy focusing, diopter adjustment - very important to me.
I am glad that there has not bought 10x50 - I do not have iron hands and no tripod.

I just received the item today and so far it is very nice. I took some pictures of it for your info since there was only one from Amazon. I also took a couple of pictures from my balcony with and without the binoculars so you will have a better idea of how nice this item is. It comes with a pretty nice soft carrying case, 4 lens covers, and a neck strap. It was delivered by USPS via Parcelpool to Puerto Rico, and I must say, it was a very quick delivery. I ordered it Saturday night (Jan 7th) and it arrived at my door this morning (Jan 12th). I will play with it for a few weeks before I update this review.

I own an excellent pair of light weight binoculars in the 8 - 20 range and have been looking for a pair with greater power for occaisional use while hiking. These binoculars are well made, feel nice to handle, and are easy to focus, even when being shared. They offer a clear image and are robust enough to encourage me to take them more frequently on my hikes.
The only improvement would be to offer a more robust case for outdoor use as these were supplied with a simple "velvet" lined "shower-proof" flexible cloth case, that provides good padding, but would probably not provide much protection if the case and contents were dropped.
Overall these are excellent glasses and a comparison of similar glasses show that they are also excellent value.

I've never owned binoculars because I found them uncomfortable and difficult to see through. I bought these for a trip to the Galapagos Islands though because I didn't want to miss out on any of the wildlife. At less than $50 a pair, I thought it was worth the risk. However, they did not let me down. They were lightweight and extremely easy to use and focus. The viewing was fantastic! I highly recommend them.
