5.0 out of 5 stars Same thing as Type H
Not a long review here; just some comments.

These M+ cards are, in practical usage, about the same speed as Type H XD cards. The maximum capacity for them is unchanged: 1 to 2 gB per card. They are shaped the same, look the same, and Olympus claims that they will work in "nearly all" available XD compatible devices.

3.0 out of 5 stars Xd-Picture Card
Pros: Great pictures, lots of space, good for Olympus' "artistic" picture options
Cons: Expensive, hard to find, not easily interchanged with other cards

All in all: I would rather have the regular SD card, but the Olympus camera only takes these . . . bummer!

5.0 out of 5 stars Same thing as Type H, May 17, 2008

These M+ cards are, in practical usage, about the same speed as Type H XD cards. The maximum capacity for them is unchanged: 1 to 2 gB per card. They are shaped the same, look the same, and Olympus claims that they will work in "nearly all" available XD compatible devices.

Subjectively, I am seeing more and more Type M+ and far fewer Type H cards in retail stores for reasonable prices, but functionally they seem like the same item. I am using one 1 gB Type H, one 2 gB Type H, and two 2 gB Type M+; if there is a difference, I cannot detect it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works as expected, August 12, 2008

If you have an Olympus camera, you unfortunately need an Olympus brand card to unlock some features such as the panorama functionality. This isn't a technical limitation (technically all brands cards are the same) but the camera looks at the serial # on the card to know if it's Olympus brand or not.

Since it's an "Type H" card, it's fast enough for high quality video on most cameras. 640x480 to be exact, which is pretty much SD. It's actually surprisingly good on my camera. You can get about 20min on a 2GB card.

The M+ is faster than the regular M cards, and cheaper than the H. Not to mention it's available in 2GB (which I haven't seen much of for the H version in the US). Making it a pretty good buy.

The M+ is clearly the better buy of the xd-Picture cards... though xd-Picture is somewhat inferior to other card formats. But unless you buy a new camera you can't do much about that.

Make sure your camera is compatible with M+ (most 2GB M and H compatible cameras are fine) by checking on the camera manufacturer's website. Even if your camera's older than the M+ cards, it will likely still work.

4.0 out of 5 stars Olympus M+ xD memory card, August 2, 2008

Works fine. The "plus" is faster than standard M cards. Shooting RAW images at 6M, used a stopwatch, retesting three or more times per card my (averaged) results are as follows:
M (1GB) FUJIFILM made in Japan 0:07:89
M+(2GB) OLYMPUS made by Toshiba in Japan 0:06:00

4.0 out of 5 stars enables longer video recording, August 23, 2008
This review is from: Olympus M+ 2 GB xD-Picture Card Flash Memory Card 202220 (Personal Computers)
Not a whole lot faster than regular M, so it's still slower than other formats. The advantage that this has over H is that it enables certain Olympus cameras to record videos for longer than 10 seconds at the highest quality setting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best xD Card, January 30, 2009

This review is from: Olympus M+ 2 GB xD-Picture Card Flash Memory Card 202220 (Personal Computers)
This xD card holds over 400 "fine" quality 10MB photos and over 800 "normal" quality 10MB photos on my digital camera (Olympus SP-565UZ). Also this is one of the best deals on the card I could find!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent xD card, July 17, 2008

I purchased this card because my previous (much older) xD card would not support the panorama function of my Olympus E-510. This new one supports that function and it is fast and meets my needs as an amateur.

All in all, a very good experience. Ordered 12/21/08, had it in my camera the following Saturday (excellent delivery time considering it was Christmas week). Item came exactly as described and was a snap to install. My Fuji camera detected it with no issues. At the highest resolution available, I now have the capacity to take approximately 2500 pictures. Have had no problems with it so far, and don't expect to. This was one of the best online purchases I've made. Thanks to everyone involved.

Although I'm not a fan of proprietary memory cards, this is the only kind that works on the camera. It performs exactly as intended. Camera is quick to save pictures and does allow you to save more video if you choose. Good product if you have to use Xd picture card.

MUST BUY! I'm one of those users who thinks I know what I'm doing but really, who's kidding? I'm a total novice when it comes to digital photography. So when I needed to buy an external picture card, I went to Amazon reviews and found this one. The 2+ is seriously FAST and, as the other XD cards, has proven to be both reliable and EASY. Thanks to the other reviews I not only got a great product but I kind of sound like I know what I'm doing. It was worth the price. Thanks Amazon reviewers - this is a great product!
