this is a nice little device. Insert your memory card into the reader and then your computers USB port. That's it, there's not much more to it than that. For years I was pluging my cameras into the PC to move my photos from the cameras memory card to my PC. Of course, needlessly using your cameras battery life. With this reader, you no longer have to deal with the cables or wasting your cameras battery. I always take mine with me on vacation. It's so convienent. I strongly recammend it to anyone with a digital camera.

I was looking for a replacement cord for my camera and ran across this product. I was hesitant to purchase, but now understand all the favorable reviews. This is the easiest way to download pictures to your computer. Highly recommend to everyone.

I bought this card reader to replace a Fuji XD reader that I gave my daughter. The Fuji is better in a number of ways. First of all, the Fuji has provision for attaching a lanyard, and secondly the Fuji has a sliding cover for the slot where the card goes in.

The Olympus seems to function OK, so no complaints in that regard.

I bought this because I had lost the cable to connect my olympus to my computer. It feels good- white and shiny, and I has the added advantage of working as a memory stick when needed. if you have an olympus camera, its a good accessory. only problem is it doesnt have a way - loop, string, to attach it to anything so it can easily get lost.

Pros:
* Just pop the XD Picture Card out of your camera, insert it into the MAUSB-500 reader, and plug it into your computer. The computer will load the appropriate driver, and you'll be ready to transfer photos in a hurry.
* You don't have to transfer the photos to view them or to manipulate them as files. You can view the photos with any software that supports the file format your camera creates. You can move, copy, or delete photos on the XD card just as if it were a disk on your computer.
* It's a very handy size, about the same as most flash drive memory sticks.
* This reader supports USB-2 for faster transfers.

Cons:
* I expected faster transfers with the USB-2. The speed was only slightly faster than a transfer directly from the camera via the cable connection.
* It would be nice if there were some way to cover the slot where the XD card is inserted. I predict that the slot will get dirty if you carry it in a pocket.

Additional Notes:
* If you lose or damage the cable that connects your camera to the computer, and if your camera uses XD Picture Cards, you can get the MAUSB-500 instead of a replacement cable to handle the transfers. It will probably be substantially cheaper than a replacement cable and will often be handier to use.

I bought this before i deployed cause nothing seems to be compatable with XD so i thought this would be a easy way for me to send pics back and stuff....it has never gave me a problem at all and i am very happy with it... i know have a laptop that is compatable with XD so i really dont use it to much unless i am at work or something

Used to download pictures off Olympus XD card to an older (4 year old) PC. Easy, reliable, efficient. I recommend it.

Other Olympus solutions are clunky and often require special software to be added to your pc. Other card reader I bought was finicky. This one is just plain easier and it works straight out of the box (card).

I purchased this last month or so cuase I can't find my USB cord (Cat must have hid it), and I tell you what... with this gizmo I'm not trying to find it either. The card fits right in there and BAM!! The computer just loves it. Depending how may pics you have on your card it can take a little while load but so does ordering coffee from Starbucks.
I'm going to get a couple more to keep in the my office and one for the hubby's office.

Great product, fast upload of pictures from my xd card to my mac. We love this. The item arrived well packed and very quickly.

This device works like a champ! It downloads my video and movies at a great speed and is compact enough to take with me on trips so I always have a clear camera. I recommend this Memory Adapter.
