Another Winner From Life In Balance,
By
This review is from: Om to Ohm (Audio CD)
The duo of Steve & Ami Scuilli, who started quietly and serenely with "Deeper," retain the beauty of their original conception while evolving musically, no mean feat.
"Om To Ohm" will not only appeal to their older fans, but builds upon Steve's synth playing in "Star," and adds energy to their meditative sounds, making "Om To Ohm" a total body immersion. Like their other CDs, "Om To Ohm" sounds great in headphones, although you may be too busy dancing to wear them. This is by no means simply "yoga" or "body-work" music-"Om To Ohm" will take you on a journey that will be comfortably familiar to fans of Pink Floyd, the Moody Blues, Popul Vuh, Gong, and other progressive bands. One of the best CDs of 2007!

Life In Balance blows my mind. This is music for the evolution.
Music of the enhanced Shakuhachi - Moog synthesizers and Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls, Nothing comes close to this. Deep healing for your "outer space". This is the real deal - Buy this disc and see them live

I guess I should've listened to more samples before buying. I heard the song "Rt. 70" on Pandora and was absolutely mesmerized; it sounded a bit like Pink Floyd back when the band was exploring more instrumentals and ambience. "70" is a truly great track.Sadly, the rest of the album I find very pedestrian. After giving it a fair shot and listening to it not once or twice but several times, "Rt. 70" is the ONLY song that stays in my head. The rest: Dull, forgettable songs that leave no impression at all.

Om to Ohm defies labeling....it's in a category all it's own! Just when you think you're onto where the music's taking you, the sound shifts gears and you find yourself on a different path. Either in your home relaxed and listening to each track evolve, or driving in your car rockin' out...Life in Balance takes you on a hip trip!
