I sent these as a gift. I was told that they arrived in very good shape, packed in lots of dry ice, and were very tasty.

We eat a whole grains diet and fish; finding tuna steaks in our local fish market has been impossible. I ordered some Polar can tuna steaks first, and when Omaha Steaks site came up with flash frozen tuna steaks, I couldn't resist trying them. My husband has caught big tuna off of Chile and in the Pacific but these tuna steaks are almost as good and I plan to order them again. I make a marinade of fresh ginger, garlic and low sodium teriyaki sauce and let the steaks marinate for about ten minutes on each side. I put one TBS of olive oil in a saute pan and sear them where they remain pink on the inside. Delicious! By the way, I have ordered steaks from Omaha Steaks when they were mail order only in the early 80's and advertised in the NYer we have also made purchases in Ft. Lauderdale at the store on Federal Highway.

There was a problem with the dry ice that had to do more with how it was shipped out of Miami to Central Florida. I was concerned because one box was partially thawed ; I phoned Omaha and told them how many days the shipment took from Miami and they replaced the box. One doesn't have these kinds of experiences in retail anymore.
