2.0 out of 5 stars Don't expect Much
When I heard this book was coming out, I was thrilled. I thought I and other B2k fams would finally figuire out the truth on what really happened to B2K.

I was wrong...very wrong. Omarion doesn't talk about many important things to me, about the group. All I get are his highschool crushes and such. which aren't too interesting to me. Omarion potrays the break...

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have for The Omari/B2K Fan, February 21, 2005
This review is from: O (Paperback)
The book O by Omari Grandberry is now available from MTV Books/Pocket Books. Omarion, also known as Omari Grandberry is the former lead singer of the boy group B2K and now he is a successful solo artist. B2K was at the top of their career when they disbanded. The movie You Got Served was about to premiere, they were in the midst of a successful tour and then it all stopped.

The book O is a must have for an Omari or B2K fan. The book is in full color and chock full of pictures of Omari and B2K. The quality of the book is awesome, it's almost like a collectors edition or a really cool tour program. You really have to have this if you are a big fan of Omari's, the book has pictures of him as a baby and a toddler.

Omari was born in 1984. The book chronicles the early years of his life and how he became a member of B2K. Omari had close ties with B2K manager Chris Stokes. Chris at one time was dating his aunt, whom he is now married to. Chris is responsible for forming several groups, one of his most popular groups was Immature, who later changed their named to IMX. Omari found out that Chris was looking for a new lead singer for a group he was forming. Omari expressed to his aunt that he was interesting in trying out to sing in the group, and as they say the rest is history.

Not many people know that B2K's first single, "Uh-Huh" actually dropped on September 11th, 2001. This changed their promotion plans for the day of the single release. Despite the changes in the world B2K pushed on and went all over the country promoting themselves and the single.

O is about Omari. His early years, the B2K years, the making of You Got Served, details of fan encounters, and of course---the big breakup. Chapter 7--Fallout, is Omari's version of the demise of B2K. More than anything Omari describes how he felt betrayed by the other members and how he ignored some of the early warning signs. There was no mudslinging or name calling, it was a rather peaceful description of how the events unfolded. The last chapter of the book-The Future is rather short. So in essence, O is all about Omari's life from childhood to now. An Omari fan or a B2K fan will really appreciate this book.

Omarion's book is truly an eye-opener for those who just thought him to be "another teen idol." This book gives supporters and non-supporters alike, a tiny glimpse into his world; his day to day struggle to just be the best him he can be. I highly recommend this book to everyone...

Whoever said this was a piece of crap, is crap! Instead of looking for that HOE book you couldn't find, you came across a wonderful piece of work that lets you in on the inside look at his life from begining till end. I haven't even bought it yet and I love it. I've only read bits a pieces but I'm in love. Its a must have!

Having read a bit of the book and not being a huge B2K fan. It's quite a good book and besides having heard him, i think he is a well talented youngman. It's obious that he was the most talented in the bang/group B2k. So give the guy his props. B2K has lost a very good member and won't get another Omarion. So guys, thinking of joining a band you need to know that some of us are destined to shine than the others. (Omarion keep shining).

Reading this book makes you help understand what happened between Omarion and B2K. The book shows the struggles he made through life and the struggles with B2K. It also shows how B2K met, and what his goals were before B2K. The experiences he writes about is real interesting to read about. The book is a must read if you are an Omarion or B2K fan. Also, there are many nice pictures in the book, along with some surveys and questions.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real review of the book and Omarion's talent, November 21, 2005
By
This review is from: O (Paperback)
Reading through most of the reviews on this book leaves me wondering if anyone actually read the book. From someone who took the time to at least try to understand Omarion's struggle I believe he gives his audience an actual picture of his life and times with B2K. For everyone left upset with B2K's breakup, you should definitley pick up this book. Why, because for months during the time when the group first broke up people only got the other boys side of the story. It is only fair that you take in the accounts of everyone's story before you make biased decisions on a situation you do not know anything about. Having his side as well as the the other boys side raised questions, but you can only look at the facts. There has NOT been ANY lawsuits against Chris, Marques, Omarion ,or T.U.G, and Omarion has a top selling album, meaning that Chris was only helping him, and them. The problem is, as Omarion says in his own words, the boys are grown. They cannot be treated like young people anymore, and it was their time to find their own paths. Sad for B2K fans, but if you were in a group you would go through it too. Everyone has to find their own destiny, even if it's leaving a multi-platium selling group (i.e Destiny's Child). Lastly, I really enjoyed finding out Omarion's inspiration (the women in his life), and his inner-city dealings, because so many talented kids are out there suffering the street life. I'm just glad someone (Chris, his aunt, and B2K) was able to get this talented guy off the streets.
