Get this album,

To think that just a few months ago I had never even heard of David Olney. This guy is incredible...he can paint such vivid pictures with his song, and he really lets you get into the heads of the characters he portrays. Omar's Blues is a classic album, such great moods and colorful songwriting. No matter what kind of music you're into, David Olney's music will speak to you.

I bought this album back in 2000. I loved it then, and after buying most of his other excellent albums (though some of them have a rather disturbing production) I still think this is his best. All of the songs here are just great.
