2.0 out of 5 stars sophmore slugfest, June 1, 2008

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Omcri Matrix (Paperback)
The one with the hot cover: amazon space cadet, phallic sidearm drawn and legs tautly akimbo for major cowgirl action while one arm is pinned in lucite restraint, her bubs straining pleats into her uniform blouse.

The second of Chester's Blakeney titles, set in the same universe as the Anthi pair but unrelated characters, thankfully civilized plebian instead of medievally regal this time.
Lots of hyperpaced plot twists and ragdoll rending of protagonists just short of their death while in the clutches of supervillains.
A few fun social projections of advanced cultures drowned in slambang action including telepathy but mercifully lacking the telekinesis of the Anthi titles.

Heinlein style military cadre worship but nothing approaching Iain Banks' "Use of Weapons" or Pournelle/Ringo explication levels of esprit d'corps.
Chester teaches writing, preaches that "writers write" and executes hackneyed formula fast and short enough to rise to the median or slightly above. Just not enough to make me buy the final title, Goda War.
