Best Watch, Worst Customer Support,
This review is from: Omega Men's 2225.80 Seamaster Chronograph Dial Watch (Watch)
I own the Omega Seamaster Chronograph, purchased it new in 1998. I've had it serviced by genuine Omega Authorized Dealers every 2-3 years since new. In 2005, diving in San Carlos no more than 20 meters depth, the watch sprung a leak. By the time I returned home the watch had remaining sea water with rust inside. I sent the watch to the corporate repair center after consultation with a customer rep (The company is owned by Swatch). After several months and repeated inquiries, the watch was sent back to me un-repaired with no explanation. I again contacted customer service (another painful story within itself) and re-sent the watch. A year later (Yes, the second time took 12 months) after repeated letters, phone calls and a threatening letter from my attorney, they contacted me for permission to do the repair work. The estimate was nearly $1300 and they offered no discount for the considerable inconvenience. I paid the fee and the repaired watch was returned to me as good as new with a limited warranty. I don't recommend you take this watch diving, and frankly, as much as I love this watch, the customer service was a rude slap in the face. I will never purchase another product from Swatch and I warn you to consider my experience before you spend several thousand dollars on an Omega. It is indeed a fine timepiece but if you have any problems with it, BEWARE.

Best Watch for the Price - Omega Seamaster Professional. Chronograph.,

This review is from: Omega Men's 2225.80 Seamaster Chronograph Dial Watch (Watch)
Omega Seamaster James Bond Mens Watch 2225.80 Professional Chronograph was my final choice after looking at many Omega / Tag and Rolex.
To make it easy i would write few points which may be helpful to prospective watch buyers. - Classic style Never goes out of fashion. - Much sharp looking and stylish compared to Rolex Submariner. - Competitive price compared with other similar brands. - Looks more detailed compared to TAG LINK chronograph. - Low price difference between chronograph and automatic watch of same model. - Much recognized brand. I dont think i need to mention accurate time and blah blah blah but after doing lot of surveys for more then a year i ended up buying this watch. Last but not the least the best deal could be found only on AMAZON.com

Bought this watch about 1 month ago. I literally wore this watch on one wrist and the submariner on the other wrist at my jewlers for about 1 hour trying to decide. Comfort, readability and style all won out and I bought the Omega Chrono Diver. This watch has an automatic movement with a 44 hour power reserve. Love the blue face and the skeleton hands are very unique and make using the chronograph a breeze and reading time very easy. This watch is very substantial/heavy so if you have small wrists it may not be the watch for your. Has great weight and balance to it. The watch looks classic, I wear it to work (dress slacks and button up shirt) and with jeans and a T-shirt it still goes well.I believe that for the price you would be hard pressed to do much better.

seamaster coaxial horror story,
This review is from: Omega Men's 2225.80 Seamaster Chronograph Dial Watch (Watch)
I bought an Omega Bond seamaster coaxial auto chronograph on Jan 1,2010 and hand delivered it to NJ service center. Never fixed correctly as power reserve dies in 8 hours or less and very slow. Since month old asked for new watch but ignored. I hear NJ is horrendous and you have to ship watch to Bienne Switzerland for competent service. In process of contacting Bienne-want new watch as repair didnt work and I bought a new watch not one which needs two repairs. Will keep you posted as jury out but USA service centers incompetent. Also own Rolex submariner which isnt as accurate but much more reliable and better customer service.
Follow up: omega customer service disorganized but watch finally properly repaired in Switzerand. Avoid NJ service center like the plague!

Awesome watch,

This review is from: Omega Men's 2225.80 Seamaster Chronograph Dial Watch (Watch)
I bought this watch because of its blue dial and the elegant look. The dial is beautiful and not over crowded. Some of my friends told me that this watch is cheaper than the other seamaster models because it doesn't have coaxial movement. But still, I believe its a good buy considering the brand and the looks of the watch. I recommend this watch to anyone who wants to own an Omega.

This review is from: Omega Men's 2225.80 Seamaster Chronograph Dial Watch (Watch)
I bought this watch after nearly a month of extensive research, both online and stores. I was looking for a watch in the range of $2000 to 6000 and was particularly interested in tag, omega, Breitling, Rolex and Baum et Mercier. But my eye was caught on this watch and unable to get past it. After considering the pros and cons and comparison with different brands, I decided to go for it and believe me, I made the best decision. The design of this watch is timeless even for 100 years to go. The structure, details and the finish of the watch is astonishing and the automatic dial has proven history of reliability. The size of this watch is perfect compared to other brands which are either too big or too heavy. I wear it daily and everywhere I go and don't feel like taking it off: The watch is best for any attire of dress and I get complements almost everywhere I go. The blue dial has amazing look and is worth experiencing directly than by just seeing it online. I am now a fan of omega and looking forward to buy another one with black dial too. If you are looking for a watch with excellent craftsmanship, that is world renown, reliable and classic, look no further and buy this watch. I can recommend this watch to anybody anytime. All the best with your search and re-search.

Best all-around sport watch,
This review is from: Omega Men's 2225.80 Seamaster Chronograph Dial Watch (Watch)
After purchasing numerous watches in the hope of finding one that served all my purposes, alas this watch exceeded my expectations. I've taken it SCUBA diving, skydiving, snowshoeing, motorcycling, skiing and it remains ready for evenings on the town in jeans or a tux. I've had it for over five years and it has proven to be more durable than its owner.

Omega Seamaster ROCKS!!!,

This review is from: Omega Men's 2225.80 Seamaster Chronograph Dial Watch (Watch)
I own several Tag's and Citizens (love the eco-drive) and all I can say is that the Omega Seamaster is fantastic! It is a much heavier watch than any of my Tag's and my Citizens, so be forewarned. It's time keeping is second to none, and as for looks it is also second to none.
The watch has a look and feel that is timeless. This watch is must have.
