This watch is a great value. It is very heavy and has a solid feel to it. It's much heavier than any Rolex model that I've ever handled at way below the cost of one.

The band feels very nice and doesn't pull at your arm hair or slide around. It's a very classy design without being too busy. I've also slammed the case and crystal against doors and door nobs on accident and have yet to produce any noticeable scratches. I did scratch the clasp on a snowshoe one time, but it buffed out nicely.

These watches do require "regulation" from time to time because they are mechanical. This can be done for about 25 dollars at major retail jewelers. I appreciate the GMT hand during my European adventures. It always reminds me of when it's ok to call home. If you are looking for a dependable GMT auto that will last you a lifetime, this is your watch.

I bought this as a 'work' watch, it isnt too flashy but it is built well and people who know about watches know what it is and that it is a piece of quality. It keeps time well and the reserve on the power is excellent, add that together with the value on here and you really can't go wrong.

This watch is an excellent value. It's perfectly crafted, a sturdy design with an accurate movement (spec says -4/+6 sec per day). I personally prefer leather straps, so I will remove the bracelet and put on a black croc instead. Order on Amazon went trough smoothly. The price is very reasonable (apx. $1800) and a lot of watches - with a much bigger price tag - use exactly the same movement ETA 2892-A2 (the actual 'gears' in the watch) all tough in higher 'finish grade' (more polished gears - but who cares). It is also a "true" GMT watch, meaning you can adjust the second time zone in 1-hour steps without changing the normal hour hand, which is not common in this price range.

The only thing I don't like is the Manual. It's bad enough that there are 10 languages in the booklet, but they explain a lot of different watches (a dozen calibers or so) in one single manual. That sucks.

This is one of the few GMT watches that the time can be set independently without messing up the time or date. The mechanism of the movement is similar to watches costing 2-3x such as the Rolex GMT Master II or the Blancpain GMT. Many people who buy GMT watches don't know that real "GMT" watches allow the movement to set the date forward and backwards without harming the watch. The only minor thing I can think of is Omega's bracelet, which lacks micro-adjustments. If your wrist is a certain size, pending "half-links", the watch can feel comfortable or too tight. One of the best bang for the dollar in Swiss watches.

I have wanted this Omega 2234.50 black dial GMT watch for several years but thought I would have to get one at a local jewelry store to make sure it was a genuine Omega and not something less. I checked Amazon and to my surprise they had the exact watch model I wanted and at the best price I have seen anywhere. I entered the order, got an acknowledgement by email, and three business days later, had the beautiful and rugged watch ticking on my wrist, and I used standard UPS ground shipping. This is the most painless large dollar purchase I have ever experienced via the Internet. I would never have bought this watch on the 'Net anywhere other than Amazon because they have earned my trust over many transactions.

I was surprised to not have an Omega warranty card to return but this is the first watch I ever bought from Amazon and I guess the way it works is that Amazon provides the warranty rather than Omega. If I bought it from an authorized Omega distributor then I would have had an Omega warranty and paid full price or close to it.

Pros: Excellent price on this getting-hard-to-find model. Great price. Very fast order handling and delivery. No hassles. Amazon 30 day return and 2 year warranty.

Cons: Amazon could have packed it a little smarter. The Omega box was slightly split from UPS pounding. They padded it on the top and four sides but not on the bottom and that was the problem. I tend to keep my watch boxes for decades and I was disappointed to see the very slight box damage.

I purchased this watch from Amazon several months ago after shopping around in Houston and Chicago for a GMT. Amazon beat the price of every retail outlet by $$$ and delivered the watch on time. The GMT's three time zone capability is perfect for the way I travel. It is always on my wrist and has taken a beating with scratches only on the bottom of the clasp. And I've received numerous complements on the watch. Looks great without being flashy.

I purchased this watch a couple of years ago. It's a true tool watch - function over form. The face is clearly a modern design of Omega famous SM 300, with large sword hands and over-sized indicies. The advantage of this is the lume on this watch is outstanding, perfect for low light conditions. It will show the time in three times zones, the local time, home time and with the turn of a bezel a third time zone. Like others have said this makes it a real GMT in that it has a bezel and a jump hour hand. The disadvantage of this GMT design is you loose the quick set date. The case is heavy at about 165g and it is waterproofed to 300m/1000ft which is unusual for a GMT. The movement is a chronometer certified Omega cal.1120 which is an Eta 2892-A2 modded with two extra jewels, Geneva wave finishing and improved winding efficiency. The bracelet is solid stainless 316L steel and very comfortable. So what's not to like. First, I prefer the Fliplock clasp of the Rolex GMT - there's no way this can open by accident. Secondly, the bezel (which is 120 click) can move if you knock your watch. It's just not as tight as the Rolex. Other than that, this is an outstanding watch, perfect for the job it is intended to do.

Finally, if you are buying your first mechanical watch, remember that they need to be serviced every four to five years, which isn't cheap and make sure you are getting a good warranty if you are not buying from a A.D. Also check that supplier does not file the serial number off. It can happen.

Deighted both with product and service. Watch was delivered on time to the address requested and all items were both correct and present. Having travelled since I received the watch the GMT function is both easy to use and easier to understand to track both time zones.

Bought the automatic GMT in 2000 (I think), absolutely love it. Takes a beating and runs great. Looks like new with only minor scratching on the band. I have the "james bond" style band which I think is far better than the more Rolex-y one shown here. Omega every time.

First of all Its a thumbs up from me for Amazon, This is my second online experience and Amazon gave me more confidence through a great satisfying experience they made. I was stunned when I checked the watch condition with all the accessories and the box are intact and real fresh from the Omega factory.Absolutely I'll keep on coming back to Amazon.
Secondly. regarding the watch,Theres nothing I can say but "Excelent".I've been a tag heuer Fan for 11 years now but this is my first Omega automatic watch in my whole life and I was not dissapointed.Performance,Quality,Design and Price(31% off retail)I definitely recommend this watch to anybody and BTW Amazon financing is really a great help.
