Extraordinary Watch!,

This review is from: Omega Men's 2512.52.00 Seamaster Aqua Terra Railmaster Automatic Chronograph Watch (Watch)
I've had this watch for about a month now, and have worn it most days. I own a number of chronographs, and this is certainly one of the best.
It uses a Piguet movement which, according to several sources, is unique to this watch these days. (Not sure I believe that - - I think it may be used in Blancpain chronos as well; that's where it was first used) The chronograph start is absolutely smooth, and the reset is very gentle, quite unlike the "thud" of the reset on the Valjoux 7750 series movements. The accuracy of the movement is exceptional - about 1.5 sec/fast per day over the one month period I've had it. Fit and finish of the case, dial and hands is flawless, and the size of the the watch is just about perfect. My only complaint is that the links in the band are a bit large, so you are not able to make fine adjustments in sizing. Not a significant problem, but something to keep in mind if you're finicky about exact sizing. I have a lot of watches in all price ranges, and this really is an exceptional value in an everyday wearing sports watch. |
