5.0 out of 5 stars Great watch, Subtle yet Stylish., December 4, 2006

Subtle yet stylish watch. My favorite three features:
1- Coaxial movement
2- See thru back
3- GMT

The Bond watch does not have the GMT. GMT comes super handy if you are a frequent international traveller or if you deal with people in another continent on a regular basis.

It's sturdy watch.. solid and heavy. Don't buy this if your idea of comfort is a Skagen :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, July 8, 2008
This review is from: Omega Men's 2535.80.00 Seamaster 300M GMT "James Bond" Automatic Chronometer Watch (Watch)
I bought my Omega Seamaster GMT from Amazon. The price was really good (compared to other retail stores) and the service very good. I got it in a couple of days. I've been having it for a month now and very happy with both the watch and the service I've been provided by Amazon...

5.0 out of 5 stars simply bond......., March 16, 2005
This is a classic timepiece from omega enhancing the personality of its owner. The refreshing blue color of its dial simply swept me of my feet. Thanks to omega i feel like bond already. 100% value for money and if style matters to you then just bring it home.

5.0 out of 5 stars Watchmakers Advice, December 21, 2007
I am rather opinionated when it comes to luxury watches. This comes from spending 2 years in watchmaking school, studying directly under the guidance of a certified master swiss watchmaker who came here from Europe. Watches, especially mid to high grade swiss watches, are a passion of mine. I am not loyal to a brand or a style or anything else. I judge them for what they are, in terms of quality, function, construction, and style. A watchmakers point of view.

This said I will tell you that this particular watch is what I consider to be a "best kept secret" sort of watch. This is an AUTOMATIC watch (read: Mechanical - NOT Quartz), and of CHRONOMETER grade function. Chronometer as used here is a measure of accurate timekeeping, not quality - a point often misunderstood - and is used mostly from a marketing point of view by companies such as Rolex. HOWEVER. This movement in THIS watch is actually EXCELLENT in terms of quality, time keeping ability, and construction - easily comparable to other Swiss made movements from other famous manufacturers costing several times as much. This watch, properly serviced, will provide a lifetime of use - and probably more. Absolutely the sort of watch you pass down to the next generation.

All in all - and EXCELLENT choice - especially for those seeking their first QUALITY Swiss watch purchase.

Definitely recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars GMT for the true James Bond, October 10, 2010

If James Bond really existed, he probably would have chosen this version of the Omega Seamaster watch with the GMT function. He travels a lot so it would make sense. I considered buying the cheaper version of this watch without the GMT function, but I need to know GMT time a lot since my job runs on GMT time. Since I typically only remember that country X is -5 GMT, or -13 GMT, it is a lot easier to figure out their local time by converting straight from GMT rather than taking my local time converting to GMT and then to their local time.

The watch face is intricate, at sometimes it appears almost black, but under a bright light you can see that it is is two tones of blue. Setting the time on the GMT watch can be confusing at first, through a combination of three different crown positions and 2 different bezel positions you can set hour hand only, GMT hand only, minute hand only, manual winding, etc.

The see-through back is nice, it makes it really different from other Seamasters. I like looking at the back of watches to see the little pieces move. The watch is heavy, it's definitely a man's watch. I wear it everyday, no point buying an expensive timepiece just to look at it.

The watch seems decently accurate, I think my version is fast about +5 seconds everyday. So after a week, my watch is about 25 seconds faster than my computer which is syncing up with the internet time. Apparently you can get this tuned but with mechanical automatics watches this is normal.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Buy, September 24, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Omega Men's 2535.80.00 Seamaster 300M GMT "James Bond" Automatic Chronometer Watch (Watch)
At first I was a bit hesitant about buying though Amazon but my experience was fantastic.
Easy purchase process, quick delivery and the right product.
The only regret was not waiting for the US$ to devalue further (It would be a better buy today!)
I would not think twice about buying through Amazon again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Omega seamaster 2535.80.00, May 18, 2008
This review is from: Omega Men's 2535.80.00 Seamaster 300M GMT "James Bond" Automatic Chronometer Watch (Watch)
I recently purchased the Omega Seamaster 2535.80.00. I am very satisfied with the watch. This comes to no surprise for me, since I knew what watch I wanted. Buying items this expensive on the internet sets high standards for the company You are dealing with, and in this case, I must say, that I am very satisfied with the way that Amazon handles its business. Ordering, customers service and shipment is very smooth, dealing with Amazon.

Thanks!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent and handsome watch, September 19, 2006
This review is from: Omega Men's 2535.80.00 Seamaster 300M GMT "James Bond" Automatic Chronometer Watch (Watch)
I decided to purchase Omega 2535.80 Sea Master Pro chronometer from Amazon since it is the best deal in this price range. It is also a very well made and very nice looking watch. I only wear it for 1 month, so no comment on the long term quality of it. But so far, it is very accurate - within +/- 8 second so far (not per day). This watch seems smart enough that when it can correct itself when it is faster or slower than 8s, well, go figure. I am very happy with it and I got a very good price from Amazon with 5 year warantee.
