The brother of a friend at college did some research into fish oil back in the early 80's. It has a lot of beneficical effects (if you take mega doses it can also make you a little slow witted -- but help protect you from handovers!). I bought this book second hand some time ago. I did not follow the diet but simply read the background information. If was very interesting. The health benefits of fish oil and mega-3 fatty acids has gained considerable currency in recent years and forms a significant part of the latest cutting edge diet/health work described by Dermitologist Dr. Pericone in his new book the Pericone Prescription (he has a long TV program which is often shown on public television at the moment).
