Product Description

This is a small, inexpensive hand-held viewer for both 35mm slides and negatives. It features a removable front screen to accommodate thicker slide mounts. Slip your 2x2 slide into the top loading slot to view, or, slide your negative strip through the side slot. The viewer has an "ON/OFF" switch and is powered by 2 "AAA" batteries (not included). It also has a user replacable lamp (2.2v 0.25A bulb). The unit measures 4.25 x 2.5 x .75" (108 x 63.5 x 19 mm) and has a 2 x 2" viewing area. weighs only approximately 2 oz.

I needed something quick (and inexpensive) to view a bunch of slides. I should have saved my money and just used a light bulb to view the slides.

I purchased this item to help me look at old 35mm negatives to decide which ones to develop. It may have a 2 inch lighted area, but you can just as easily hold them up to a light bulb or your computer screen. I am very disappointed and if I would have known this, I would have put the money towards something else.

Although the price is quite affordable, don't waste your money on this product - if you're planning to use it to review negatives. Although it's easy to use - you can just place the negative right over the light - you will find it much easier to simply hold the negative up to a window or lamp. I don't know how it might work with slides.
