I wanted to add flax to my diet because of all the talk about the importance of Omega. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, even though I'd read some reviews. The packaging is excellent--it seals up easily and keeps the seeds fresh. I keep them in the freezer because I've read that's the best choice.
They're really easy to add to yogurt and oatmeal--my typical approach. I haven't tried baking with it yet, but it seems like that would be easy, too. I like that they're already ground because it means that I don't have to do anything before adding it to my breakfast. (If I had to get out the grinder, grind the flax, and then clean the grinder, I'd use less of it.) Convenience is definitely why I chose this particular package, and I'm really glad that I did--I've been very happy with the quality of the product.

This milled flaxseeds are pretty tasty and I can see it is a good quality. It has some rough taste but no problem eating with hot cereals.

This is the first milled flax I have purchased and I am very happy with the texture. Taste... I don't know because I mix it into smoothies and other foods. I will continue to purchase this item.

Very happy with the Omega Nutrition Cold Milled Flax Seeds. Again super fast delivery and packaged very well. I dish out enough to sprinkle on our food for a few days and then store the bag in the freezer. One of our former vets suggested feeding our Lhasa Apso dog about a 1/2 teaspoon of flax-seed every day for a healthy coat and in addition to eliminating infected anal glands. So every member of our family enjoys flax seed sprinkled on our puddings, cereal, yogurt, or main meal.

My daughter had a hard time passing her stools when she was born. When she was three months old I started adding a teaspoon of these milled flax seeds, and was surprised at how much her problem improved. Her difficulties disappeared by the time she reached seven months, but I kept adding the teaspoon to her cereal. Besides providing healthy omega 3 and 6 acids, the flax helps her any time her stools might be a little hard. I even started taking it myself, sprinkling it to my salads. It adds a nice, nutty taste to them.

I sprinkle this on food for fiber, and I do use it on my hair, as a styling gel.I'm into natural products for my hair, and I found a 'recipe' for making styling gel using flax seed. You can find the recipe if you Google it "flax seed for hair". There's also a 'Tube video. |
