We have several cardboard scratcher/perch things for the cats because they love to scratch and lay on them.

The ends broke that hold in the bottom within 2 hours of getting it, so it's not really a box anymore... It's flat cardboard.

My 14 year old cat who loves boxes took to this immediately and sleeps in it hours a day, he also scratches in it regularly!

My cat is a 14-year old that has seen it all, done it all. I've spent hundreds of dollars on pads, toys, motivators etc. I have enough left over feathers to rival Fredericks of Hollywood. Most get sniffed and then are ignored until I give them away. This Omegapaws Scratch 'n Massage Bed is one of a handful of items he has loved over the years, currently loves and likely always will love.

He scratches it for his claws, sleeps in it when he gets bored with his other spots, and has me follow him over to it when I get home at the end of the day and scratches his own head on the corner of it while I massage his back. As the title says, a low cost all in one feline mini entertainment complex.

Despite what other posters have said, he has never used it for a cat box and it is NOT JUNK. It's sturdy, uses good cardboard that doesn't shred like copy paper and something I missed at first: you get three layers of ripple board. When he is through with one, I've got two more beneath to use. I don't know how aggressive your cat is in scratching but one of these boxes can last months with the extra boards supplied.

There are only a few products I would even bother writing a review about, but when someone has an offering that consistently works so well for me, I like to tell others. This one is a great product that I will keep repeat ordering.

PS Their Roll and Clean cat litter box is also very interesting. It is not fool-proof, but for those who hate sifting cat litter to clean it, this little device can cut down on that task by orders of magnitude. Also well worth checking out if you're in the market for a covered litter box.

i really like this product as do my cats. they use as a bed and scratch pad. what i like best is that it doesn't create the same mess as a typical cardboard scratcher. the material is much stronger and it doens't fall apart as easily. the only downsides- which aren't a big enough deal to not purchase it are- 1) i wish the scratch portion came in a refill so you could remove it from the bed "frame" and replace it. but i guess i will just buy an entire new one when needed. 2)- b/c if the ripple texture, there are not many places for catnip to get in there without making a mess, bc it doesn't fall in to any cracks.

If you look at the pictures in the product description, the chubby Himalayan and the grey kitty lounging in their bed are mine. As you can see, they love this thing, especially Whisper, the Himalayan. I have several cats and bought this in addition to a couple of different scratchers, and Whisper has pretty much taken this over as his favorite place to sleep. As for Moonshine, the grey kitty, put it this way...he's a feral who found his way into the house. Since discovering the Scratch n Massage Bed (and making friends with Whisper), he's decided he wants to be a house cat!

I gave this only four stars - the kitties would disagree and would probably give it 8 or 10, but they're not paying for it! Considering that this is a glorified cardboard box - and the end flap keeps coming undone - it's worth no more than $10. For example, compare this to the Fat Cat's Kitty Hoots Big Mama's Scratchy Box Double Wide, which comes with catnip, a toy, and attached tassels to play with - it's only $9.99, and the cats love it as well. Still, if my furkids are happy, I'm happy, and I don't regret getting it for them.

This silly little cardboard contraption is the new kitty obsession at my multiple cat household. Mine love to claw it, which won't be a use for every kitty. But,they also love to roll and sleep in it. There's rarely a moment where they aren't in it. Keeps them content and off my bed and furniture.

I don't know why the cats prefer this semi-cardboard box to a fabric bed, but they always choose this. I appreciate the new feature of having three removal trays to give it longer life.

I was hesitant to purchase this because of the price, but I combined it with another item I needed and got free shipping. I have several cats and they practically fight to get to it first and it's been that way since day one. They don't scratch it, I think they just enjoy the contours and lying in it. Occasionally the door is closed to the room the bed is in. We find the cats lined up outside the door like a horse race and when when we open the door they run to get "dibs" on the message bed. We have one cat who loves it but seldom gets it because she is so non-aggressive. So I just ordered a second one. Won't be surprised if I don't order another soon. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is the outer box seems a bit flimsy and I'm concerned how long it will last. But after a month, so far so good. Your cat(s) will love you for it!

My cats are 18 and 20 lbs. and love the Ripple Board lounger, although they have to squeeze into it. I'm planning to buy a second lounger and attached them so my cats can really stretch out. I've also noticed that the bottom cardboard ripples flatten out after a few months (maybe because my cats are so heavy) but my cats still seem to enjoy the feel of it. I'm probably going to buy more for different parts of my apartment because the cats seem very content when sitting on these.
