Book Description

September 1, 2003
Wildlife preservationist Anthony Marr is no stranger to confrontation and danger. When he went to India for the third time to execute a 10-week tiger-saving expedition, he expected to fight poachers, illegal wood cutters, tiger bone traders, and smugglers. Unexpectedly, he encountered political corruption, organizational deceit, and personal betrayal that turned his world upside-down. This multi-faceted turmoil may have been responsible for the least expected encounter of all. The mysterious Raminothna, who, deep in Tigerland, via a series of thoroughly logical steps, imparted upon him a new model of the Universe called Omniscientific Cosmology, which embraces all of the physical, biological, and social sciences, and shows the optimal human destiny and fate of the Earth. Now, Anthony Marr must fight the battle of his life, one he must lose in order to win.

About the Author

Anthony Marr is an internationally recognized wildlife preservationist who was featured as the "Champion of the Bengal Tiger" in the award-winning TV wildlife documentary series "Champions of the Wild" aired in 20 countries worldwide (1998). He served for four years as a campaign director for the 25,000 members-strong Western Canada Wilderness Committee. He travels extensively to conduct his campaigns, including an intense 8-week road tour throughout British Columbia against grizzly bear hunting in which he was constantly harassed by large groups of trophy hunters (1996), three sojourns in deep rural India where he worked closely with the villagers living around two tiger reserves (1997, 1998, 1999), and the 40-state-and-4-provinces-in-7-months Compassion for Animals Road Expedition (CARE) throughout Canada and the United States (2003-2004). He appears regularly on media, has participated in dozens of in-hall and on-air debates, has been guest of honor as a public speaker on hundreds of occasions, and has had numerous articles published in newspapers and magazines. He has a science degree (physics major) from the University of British Columbia and has worked as a field geophysicist and an environmental scientist. Omni-Science and the Human Destiny is his first major work, which took him 25 years to accomplish. He was born in China, raised in Hong Kong, has never been married, and lives in Vancouver, Canada.

Stanford University

Sociology, Professor Alex Inkeles:

"Recently Mr. Anthony Marr persuaded me to give him an hour of my time, all I could spare in that cycle of my calendar, and at that it had to be at the end of a busy day. This obliged Mr. Marr, as he told me, to adopt a different style of presentation than the one he usually used, one much more compressed and involving a more top-down approach instead of his usual inductive procedure. Despite these handicaps, Mr. Marr managed to impress me not only with the quality of his presentation, but also the quality of his thinking. The range of his knowledge is broad, and for something so broad seems impressively authoritative. At the heart of his approach is a conception of all living and indeed nonliving matter as organized in systems, and this gave him a considerable edge with me since my own propensity is to think in system terms... exceptionally comprehensive...."

Philosophy, Professor John Dupre:

"A few days ago, I had a lengthy discussion with Mr. Anthony Marr about his philosophical ideas. I can certainly confirm the impressions gained by the various other scholars who have written on his behalf. Marr is a highly intelligent, thoughtful man who has evidently acquired a thorough knowledge of the impressively broad range of topics over which his ideas range. As we were talking, I asked him all the difficult questions that occurred to me as he was outlining his ideas. He was always very quick to get the point, and had intelligent and relevant responses.
