I purchased these speaker stands after looking all over town and the internet for the best quality speaker stand. I found it here. These were the best price, sturdy construction and still universal I could find. They went together in about 5 minutes. I can fill the poles with sand to add weight. And you can choose metal spikes or rubber feet that you can add to the bottom for carpet, hardwood or concrete floors. I have the later. I would highly recomend these as well as the other OmniMount stand sizes. The 31" are perfect for behind your couch. Thats where I put mine... I love them!

Worked perfect for our Audioengine 5 speakers. Filled the tube with BB's and they're even more stable.

I based my purchase from reviews I read in amazon. Even though you can get other stands of a lower price. You might get what you pay for. I think this stand can compete with other high end stands costing 3x as much. I'm going to buy another pair.
