shoddy product, December 22, 2008
This review is from: OmniMount ELO-B ELO Series Audiophile Speaker Stand (Electronics)
The bottom portion of the rods for these stands is threaded so they can be affixed to the base with a nut, washers and included wrench. Unfortunately the threaded part is not nearly long enough and firmly tightening the nut to secure the base and stand is impossible. Also the screw used to hold the stand in place after setting the desired height came so overtightened I couldn't loosen it and gave up to avoid stripping it. I have assembled many items before including other speaker stands and an entire home gym, and this marks the first time I ever had to return such an item. Do not buy.

A good looking stand for it's price, December 11, 2009
This review is from: OmniMount ELO-B ELO Series Audiophile Speaker Stand (Electronics)
I bought two sets of these stands for my Front and Surround speakers. For the most part, I do like these stands.
What I like:
- Height Adjustable: I can adjust these to the proper height for my listening position.
- Stable: The stands have a rather large glass base that makes for a stable stand, even on carpet.
- Looks: For speaker stands, they look good at least in black. If you have small Front and Surround speakers like the Energy Take Classics they will look good on these stands.
Assembly: It was very easy to assemble. I had no problems with overtightened screws, or getting everything to tightly fit together.
What I didn't like:
- Cable Management: The product says that the cable management will allow up to 14 gauge wire, but my 14 gauge speaker wire from [...] doesn't fit.
- Speaker Mounting: I really wish that these had the speaker clamping mount some of the other speaker stands from Omnimount have. Instead you can either use direct screw mount (only some speakers can do this), use a angled bracket mount to screw your speaker to (basically an L shaped corner brace), or a small plate that use double sided sticky foam to adhere your speaker to. I didn't want to use the sticky foam on the finish of my speakers so I used the angled bracket. The problem is, the bracket isn't fully 90 degrees. My speakers actually point a bit downwards when mounted properly. I ended up reversing the bracket for my front speakers so that they point a bit up and mount them regularly but raise the height of my surrounds.

Perfect for ENERGY MICRO RC, January 9, 2012
This review is from: OmniMount ELO-B ELO Series Audiophile Speaker Stand (Electronics)
I could not be happier with these speaker stands. I put them together in all of 3 minutes. Simple, easy to read directions. I am using the Energy Micro RC speakers and they are less than 2 pounds each. So these stands worked perfect for me. The only "issue" (not a big deal) was that I had to use the screws that came with the speakers to mount them on the stand. The screws that came with the stands were not long enough to mount the speakers. Besides that, these are perfect. Have a solid base, poles seem flimsy but they are actually sturdy. Love the glass base also. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
