Here's what this table looks like with a television on it and stuff stored underneath. Video will give you context for the size of the piece and also a good idea of how it looks in a room.

I had been looking around for quite some time to find a low profile TV stand that was wide enough for all my components, yet slim enough to fit on my fireplace underneath the mantle. This stand fit the bill perfectly.

The stand took minimal construction and feels very solid once put together. There is some simple wire management in the back of each of the wood sections to allow you to hide unsightly wires. There is enough space on for both my 52" LCD and my soundbar on the top shelf. Bottom shelf allows ample space for several components (probably 3 side by side, but I have them stacked).

Amazon shipping was within 3 days for this product.

Do yourself a favor and don't pay over $200 for a tv stand. I recently purchased this TV stand for $144.00 with free shipping and no tax. I must say that I am 100% satisfied. It is an elegant looking piece and it was extremely easy to assemble (took me less then 20 mins). I have a 50 inch samsung plasma on this stand but I think it can even fit a 55 inch tv. Save your money! Those $300 - $450 tv stands are a complete rip off!

As you can see from my customer photo 1 above, it is easy to hide all of your wires. The guy with the video review obviously did not care about hiding wires -- his looks like the squid attack from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. However, with just a few minutes of fiddling, you can hide all of your wires nicely. Consider getting cables that are 2 ft longer than you normally would because you have to thread them around the length of the table. It is very easy to assembly. It is made of MDF -- but my wife was pleased to find that it had some kind of California certification indicating that it did not contain formaldehyde, which most MDF normally does. So, no yucky off-gassing from my table. That positive fact is left out of the Amazon product description. Such a green combo with my 47" Energy Saver LED TV, I think I deserve a tax credit. There is plenty of room to stack a big DVD-VCR combo and a cable box-DVR. I have room left to stack my new Apple TV once it arrives. I have the components sitting about 3" from the left side of the table to show off the fact that you cannot see the wires. I have room left over on the right of the shelf for a decorative ceramic bowl. (See my customer photo 2 above).

I came home today and the stand was waiting for me. Hooray! In less than 15 minutes I had the entire thing assembled. While it comes with instructions, none are really needed.

It is very sturdy and looks great. This is a great value and I am thrilled with my purchase.

I searched around for weeks to find a stand that matched the dimensions I needed. This fit the bill perfectly. Right color, right size, right price! The quality of construction is solid... assembly was easy and the wire management works great, hiding all the cables with ease.

This is the perfect stand for someone who wants their lcd television at the perfect hight... or if your like me and mounted your television on the wall at the appropriate height thus needing a low profile stand to hold your sound bar and a couple components. I am very please.

I was looking for a TV stand that would have enough clearance to allow good ventilation for my receiver and didn't have a back to it to restrict airflow. The height of the opening (top of lower shelf to bottom of upper shelf) is 10 inches, more than enough room. There's enough room for me to stack my disc player and DirecTV box on the other side with enough room to stack something else if on top of those two if I needed to. My 50 inch Panasonic G15 fills up the top shelf nicely so the stand doesn't look too small or too large for the TV. Assembly was easy and the stand itself looks good. There is also basic cable management in the back if you need it.

Needed a way to position my 42" plasma TV higher on the brick hearth in front of the fireplace we don't use, but it had to fit under the mantle. This table is the exact height and depth that I needed (although I had to leave the feet off), and has nice deep and wide wireways in the back edges. Color (espresso) works with dark red brick and black TV as well (my wife found it acceptable!).
