This thing is rock solid. It uses to huge bolts to screw into a stud in the wall. Just make sure you hit the center of the stud because these bolts are maybe 3/8" thick. I have a 30" LCD mounted and it gives you a lot of freedom of movement. I couldn't use a standard swivel mount since my TV is in a corner, so this serious piece of hardware was perfect. Comes with an impressive array of connections and screws to fit a variety of TV's. Wouldn't surprise me if you could mount a 1953 B&W with this bad boy.

Cantilever Mount Provides Flexibility,

This mount was used for a 26" LCD. We needed the flexibility of being able to have the TV flat against the wall when not in use and to extend it out when needed so small groups can all view the screen. The cantilever mount allowed us to do that and was a perfect solution. The arm extends so we can pull the TV out about 2 feet and we can turn it to face different directions.
Great product and a must if you want to have the flexibility to have your TV mounted flat against a wall and be then adjust to pull out away from the wall.

Does the Job,

This mount does exactly what you need it to do. The TV can come out at any side, away from the wall and any angle. We have it in our workout room and can move the tv so you can see it from any machine. We originally purchased a tilt mount, but then realized you could only tilt the tv, not pull it out, so you could only see the tv when you were right in front of it.
One mistake we originally made was having the electrican put the outlet right behind the mount. This doesn't work because the plugs get in the way so you can't put the tv flat. So make sure you put the outlet either above or below (preferably) the mount.

Exactly what I was looking for... just about,

The arm extends and contracts with hardly any effort my 65-lb LCD. It's actually a little scary since I expected for there to be a little more resistance than in actuality. Just be mindful that you need 3 people to (safely) mount the LCD. What would have been nice is if the wall mount and cantilever arm were separate items so that it would have been a little less awkward to attach the apparatus to the wall(stud). Nonetheless, I have no regrets.

I have absolutely zero confidence in my handyman skills so it was with quite a bit of trepidition that I ordered this wall mount. My trepidation was without merit. If you follow the detailed instructions and use the tools required, you will be able to install this impressive wall mount.
I found it beneficial to use a level when installing the mount on the wall. I did the installation by myself but would strongly suggest recruting a helper to hold the mount while you mark the screw points. If you have drill bits but are not certain that one ia a 9/32" bit, don't guess - go and buy the correct bit. I had some concern about someone trying to hold the TV so that the mounting screws (which are plentifully supplied with the mount) could be attached. I placed a table under the mount, measured the distance from the center of the mount to the table top, subtracted the distance from the center of the TV to the TV bottom and arranged two stacks of books to the height of the difference. I rested the TV on the book tops while the screws were inserted without difficulty. The only other slight difficulty is attempting to maintain the spacers in place while inserting the mounting screws. I found that if you run a glue stick over the face of the mounting plate that the spacers can be temporarily held in place while accomplishing this task. If you are questioning your ability to install the wall mount, hopefully the hints I have given will help you as you proceed.

I bought this for my 26" LCD TV. The weight of my TV is 30lb and this mount weights 14lb, to me mount to TV weight ratio is too much.
Secondly this mount comes as one unit. You screw the mount to the wall then you need two people to lift the TV and hold it in air while you mount(6 screw) it to the TV. I was hoping they make something in two pieces, one you attach to tv and other to attach to wall and then you just snap them together. Third when I installed the TV on the wall the top part of the mount was still visible on top of TV. So make sure you read mounts dimensions before you buy it. Lastly there are no horizontal adjustments for this mount. If the stud in the wall is not in the center then the TV will not be centered when flushed to the wall. This is not a problem of this particular mount but all the cantilever/arm kind of mounts are designed this way. I think it is a good mount for bigger (more than 26") and heavier TVs.

Good Mount for Midsize TVs,

Mount is sturdy and does not take huge amount of wall space. Includes hardware necessary to mount but does not include required drill bit(4 stars instead of 5) which most mounts in this price range do. Overall well worth the price.

Great, Sturdy Wall Mount...Great Price,

I used this to wallmount a 32" Samsung LCD TV and it has worked perfectly. The mount supports the VESA 200 spec used by my 32" LCD but also has the ability to mount smaller sizes that use the VESA 100 and 75 specs. I was afraid that it might be less sturdy as it only attaches to one wall stud, but the screws are very large and it achieves a strong hold on the wall, which is nice if youre mounting to a smaller wall section that only has one available stud (like I am). Fully recommend this product as well as amazon (who sells it for roughly half the price of major consumer electronics stores).

Very Impressed with the OmniMount,

This mount is SOLID as a rock! I too mounted a 32" Samsung and it seemed like it laughed at the TV like this is all your going to put on me? It gave me full 180d range. The mount itself sticks out a little from the wall, maybe 4 inches, with the TV mounted maybe 7 to 8 inches total, but I dont have any issues with that. I like it and would recomend this mount. Shipping came UPS and no problem with that. Mounting was easy, basic homeowner tools, stud finder, and socket wrench to put in lag bolts provided. Very easy installation. Up in 20 Min.

Absolutely love it!
All Pros (no Cons): - Easy to install (only two large holes in wall) - Sturdy (no fear of TV crashing down) - Moves smooth and is simple to adjust tension of outward arm movement or up/downward tilt - Great price (as compared to other arm wall mounts that can handle up to 80 pounds) |
